Sammobile was spot on in the position ranking.

Fortunately, its not about position battles, but more about QB vs. Defensive backs, RBs vs. D-Line, and so on.

guys there's a slight problem with everyone's assessment and the reason we are 8 point dogs...SEC games are won in the trenches...and it's obvious bama is better at both...gonna be a tough victory

Both QBs suck, but I would give the mental edge and throwing advantage to McElroy. Jefferson is a downright disgrace for LSU.

Looks like for LSU to be sucessful we should be throwing the ball. I am doubtful if Les feels the same way.

I agree with Zealot that most games are won in the trenches, and try as I might, I don't see us winning those battles. However, I'm optimistic that for this game, this week, this once, we just may get the necessary boost from the coaching match-up. LSU's best shot is to get big plays (whether on offense, special teams or even defense). Despite what anyone says/thinks about Coach Miles (and I've muttered my share and even yelled at the tv during games this past nearly 5 years), he is more likely than Saban to put the game in the hands of the difference making players. Saban just may play it so close to the vest that we can hang around and wrench it from the Tide's hands if someone (Jefferson, Scott, Shepard, Ridley, LaFell, Toliver, Dickson, Holliday, Chad Jones, Peterson, anyone) steps up with the game on the line.

Well, JJ is certainly not a disgrace to LSU football, at all.

I don't need to respond to an idiot who thinks that.

We both agree on that.

However, on who gives LSU the best chance of winning at QB, that is another story....

Are you saying that JL would not have LSU at 7-1 with a real chance at another crystal ball with this defense?
