We have lost to 2 Top 10 really good teams. Its not like we lost to Auburn or Mississippi State.

No, we got absolutely run off the field by the only two quality teams we've played. We labored past MSU, and escaped defeat at Auburn.

Well looking at it without the "LSU Blinders" on, we still have a shot at the SEC Championship with a win over Bama. We will be favored in 4 of our last 5 games (Mississippi might be even with their on the verge upsets)

But hell a 9-3 season with two qbs that were originally going to be doing mop up duty isnt bad. A win over Bama(some help from auburn in the Iron Bowl will be needed too) and us handling our business, thats a long shot, but its a shot none the less.

LSU's record is 5-2 and they are declining. Was there anywhere to go after winning a MNC?

How many teams have won a MNC and improved the next year?

As I said before, some village is searching for an idiot, and they want Sclabach,.

I know it's trivial, but to keep saying we gave up 50+ points in the 3 of the last ten games is misleading. One of those was a triple overtime. No explanation for UF. UGA scored 38 on our D (not good, but they didn't put up 50+). If this situation couldn't be corrected, I would be concerned. We will still have a good year and we will represent our title better than Florida represented theirs.

So, if we beat 'Bama, do we jump to the rebounding team side of the ledger? And then, if we lose our bowl game, do we jump back to the decliners? Me personally, I think I'll give it more than 7 or 8 or 9 games before deciding whether these are the End Times for LSU football.

ESPN, like most media, has an attention span with a half-life of about 10 minutes. Read it, laugh, and move on.

Welcome to the SEC, where every good team has to "labor" and "escape defeat".
Hell, Florida lost to freakin Ole Miss, and they're supposed to be the best team in the country.
