Well you said Arizona State is not any good. They made a regional final lthis past season and return one of the best players in the country. They'll be a preseason top 15 team next year.

I haven't been paying attention to Mt Charleston's Lodge reconstruction, but that used to be one of my favorite escapes. Alcoholic hot chocolate was the best after hitting the mountain during winter.
If it's up and running by then, it's about a 45 minute drive up the mountain for you folks who want to be in the mountains. Red Rock Canyon has some great sights too, right down the road from the casino / ballpark

Looks like they are adding another college classic in San Antonio through peak events
San Antonio will have a brand new stadium by 2028 with an attached entertainment district
I would expect lsu would be another target to play in that one in the future

Lastly, if you're bringing the kids, The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere is a must-see. While it can be expensive for a family, it's well worth the experience.

Was there 2 weeks ago for the A’s series. That stadium is not ready for Tiger fans. They’re going to need to import more booze from the Strip.

La Neta Mexican restaurant has a cool bar, but food is very overpriced, however, decent right next door to Frankie's. There's also a Lazy Dog in that same center and a Dave and Busters all right there.
Seconded all of this, haven't been to La Neta, but the rest of the recommendations are spot on. I'll happily give rides to and from the strip after a game if anybody here wants to go out and experience that afterwards. Probably be the only time I visit the strip all year haha

Me and my wife are already talking about going. We like downtown. We get free rooms on our ONE cards which include Circa, and The D.

Nice! I haven't been able to make it to Wizard yet, but did see the Eagles as well as Kenny Chesney there. The sphere is sick.

My wife and I did the summer all inclusive at Circa 2 nights for $400 and loved it. We live close to downtown so it was cool just to be able to get out the house for a couple nights

When we lived in east bay near San Jose we loved to go to Vegas and celebrated my 50th there with a large group of friends and family.
We try once or twice a year.
We drove to Reno too and stayed at the Grand Sierra. That place is great. It is where Phil Hellmuth has his poker game with his poker friends that is televised. Saw the Village People perform out by their pool about 7 or 8 years ago.
Moved back to Texas about 4 years ago.

March is a great time to experience Death Valley btw. Younger me didn't care about hiking in June or July. 43 year old me doesnt know how I did it. I hiked it anout 2 years ago and it was 55 degrees on Dante's peak and the 80s on the salt flats
