The girl pitching for 'cuse is 34-9 with a 1.33 ERA.

And their team is 44-11. They have only thrown 2 other pitchers all season. One of the other pitchers is 10-1.

On to the 11th - Fico has 17 SOs - have to wonder for the sake of the tournament how long she can keep going, and how available she would be later.

Nice that A&M at least has video although no sound but maybe they could invest in a few more feet of cable closer to the field so the players would look taller than an inch?

The real nose bleed section!!

Syracuse just went yard - 3 run shot - not looking good now. I'm sure Fico was a bit tired there.

Winning the first game is always so damn important.

It was a matter of time before that homer happened. With the deadhead hitters on this team, the great pitching is overshadowed. Fico with 17 K's and they walk a batter intentionally only to have the hitter they wanted to pitch to stick it in their face. Same as last year, no hitting.

Fico pitched a great game and teams evenly matched both hitting below 300. Pitching verses batting and appears our team is short on offense while baseball was short of pitching last year and this year...maybe both with a bad string of games.

LSU bunting 3 down in the 11th, and after 3 straight attempts to bunt, she just struck out.

They swept Alabama but there just isn't enough hitting on this team. Game over

that was a highlight but then there was FL...where we just got killed, but such is life in the big city....one day drinking wine and the next stopping grapes.

Maybe an end of year comeback???

thanks man - made my day. I see you are Roddick fan - met him in Cincy years ago through a friend who was coaching Tommy Haas. The spring Tennis has been great as Novak has been sensational.

I echo what the boat said.. same problem that has plagued baseball most of the year.. just anemic swinging the bats..

hot shite stadiums don't make winners out of either team this year, and last too. especially for freaking softball. what a waste of money.
