I cannot wait. I am hoping TJ and the roundballers can tithe me over. This promises to be a helluva year in baseball.

Way to represent Tigers! Giving credit where credit is Due. Now, let's go live up to this #1 ranking.

I am already tailgating for the new Alex Box and to get to see our damn strong baseball team play in 2009.

Not surprising at all. PM is one of the best in the biz and it was only a matter of time before he took us back to the top. He is a great guy off the field and a great guy guy to lead us on the field. LSU will begin a new dynasty that Skip had already built.

Vandy's not even ranked in the top 40? I don't think Vandy is that bad, they never get any respect.

Is it just me, or has Paul Mainieri kind of been the Nick Saban of baseball in the past couple of years?
He comes in with a difficult situation left by Smoke, proceeds to cut players until he gets the guys he wants, goes out and signs the top class and has his team at the mecca of college baseball in his second year.
Just a thought for this morning...

Not sure how a team with an entirely new (although very promising) starting rotation can be ranked ahead of UNC, who has an absolutely nasty, experienced starting rotation. I doubt any other poll will have us ranked ahead of UNC.
But nevertheless, its exciting and should be a fun year, barring a number of injuries...

Almost emotional for me
because when I grew up watching LSU and the Saints, and the LSU baseball team was the only program I followed that had strong success. Good to see them back.

Does Southern have that Richard kid from Denham again this year? Very impressed with him.
This truly is amazing. Last year was an incredible ride...I hope we can win it all this year.
