Your becoming one of the more hated people on these boards, congrats.

Oh and BTW, Byrd is senior, so I would think it is slightly more important for him to have a productive year in regard to his future ..other than a freshman...

Um, the qb has to get him the ball. The freshman is prone to int's, getting his first real taste of Sec competition, and hardly ever comes off his first read. Once Perrilloux was dismissed, the receivers knew their numbers were going down. Lafell has been effective working the slot and crossing routes. Next year with a seasoned lee,,,and a great group of receivers coming back this offense will be record setting.

Yeah, and Byrd will be gone...so what's your point? or did you even read the thread?

Lafell has become his primary receiver (his first read) and never looks away from that. With a good QB lafell would be number 1 and byrd number 2

never played football have you? a certain individual player doesn't become a number #1 receiver in a pass pattern, it all depends on the play, position(x,y,z),route, where they are lined up, and defensive coverage. the coaches don't make up plays and say "Lafell going to be the 1st read, Byrd the 2nd". or they don't say "make sure you throw to Lafell every time".

byrd says To be honest, if I was in the stands, I probably would have left too. It was cold, the team looked like they were about to get murdered. I probably would have left, too

For the people that complained for everyone leaving

why do you feel the need to justify your pussy actions? it just makes you more of a pussy

Fixed it. I don't remember hearing any other player saying they would have left early

he looks at his primary receiver and never looks away. You do know he has a primary rec and secondary receiver.

i just explained how the primary and secondary reads are formulated by the coaches when they come up with the plays.

I haven't posted on this board much but I have been reading the board almost daily for a couple of years. Immediately after the game my brother and I were walking to the stadium exit and I heard Miles thank the fans that stayed until the end. I felt ashamed of the LSU fanbase and the message this sends to recruits. This will come back to haunt this program when we are in a tight battle for a prized recruit.

this is true, just look at the int at the end of the bama game. byrd is open slanting across the middle and lee never takes his eyes off of lafell who is double covered.
i thought flynn stared down recievers last year, but lee takes it to a whole nother level.

Byrd looked like he wanted to leave the field. I'm not sure he's a very good example to make your point.

Too many fans left though. And it has gotten way too much play in the media...definite black eye.

He looked off some against Troy in the 2nd half. It was an improvement.

come on guys the coaches and lee aren't intentionally leaving bryd out and only throwing to lafell. maybe there is a mismatch or the d was concentrating on byrd most of the game. i just don't want the hear that LAFELL is the primary reciever because it doesn't work like that. a player doesn't become the 1st read..the position, route, alignment, and defensive coverage decide that.

Agree, in the 2nd half he made some improvements. He threw 2 balls away where he didn't have a receiver, and when I watched the replay in slow mo, you could see him on a couple of plays look off the primary.
