I was saying, is it the norm for students to be members of TAF. When I was a student, I was in the minority of my friends actually a member of TAF and that's because I have a membership to University club and it's required. Those 14k students that go to games don't all have TAF memberships. I bet there aren't 1,000 that do.

You were a student? You don't think all students who go to LSU should get the chance to experience the stadium as you did when you were a student?

I don't know the numbers. But it appears Alleva obviosuly does and he's saying that the numbers aren't supporting keeping a section like 235 and 236 open for students. I wish that every student could get in with their ID and we didn't have to worry about fire codes so you could have 20k filling up a spot for 15k. But we can't do that anymore.

Heres my deal! As the admission standards go up the more regular die hard football students cant get in. Just from seeing this year in the Stduent Section (SS) no one in the SS even knew who the players were. The upcoming plays at swine palace was more talked about than the ongoing game. When FRAT boy with his POLO and FRAT STRAPS asks me who is #14 or #7 i wanted to smack the crap out of him. Smarter school = less football fans.

Yes, only people in fraternities are a)smart enough to get into LSU and b)not knowledgeable about football.

BTW, when I go back for games I sit in the North End Zone because the students and the people in that section are the very best of what is Tiger Stadium.

That is not true at all. I was in the middle of general admission SS for 3 games this year and a lot of those "dumber" students didn't know who the players were either. I had to cuss some of them out for leaving the UGA game early, too.

I was in a fraternity and aside from pledges dressing up, which wasn't for their benefit, not a single dude wore dress pants to a game. I realize you think we're Alabama or Georgia or Ole Miss but we're not. We take up about 5% of the student population and dudes want to lose their shite because some drunk kid didn't know who Patrick Peterson is. But yeah, stereotype all you want. I'll just move forward with a played out GDI rant that just makes me look foolish.

so I go study for a few hours and this thing implodes, for Tulane and NT I wanna say I did end up in the aisles, but i normally sit like in row 6 or 7 so its crowded regardless of game pretty much

second, look again, I've been VERY critical of the student section this year, but to basically say we were the only problem with the fans this year is just stupid, we've been put on even shorter leashes more and more as time goes on, we follow the rules, for the most part and are pretty much the loudest portion of the stadium. Season ticket holders and general admission ticket holders leave just as often as students and usually before us. This is ridiculous, it's not about no shows, leaving, booing, etc. It's about getting extra money. You'll charge more for GA then you will for Student tickets. A compromise will be found and the students will end up paying more, how much you wanna bet?

I was one of those new smarter students less than a year ago. I don't know every player or every stat, but I know who most of them are and some stats. I'm sorry that my engineering degree took so much time that I didn't get to memorize everything from lsusports.net. How exactly would you define "jack"? Apparently you failed english, anyway.

I agree. And I do think the entire stadium was bad this year, but I find myself gauging the SS more because they are the heart of the stadium. Without them, the rest of the better ticket people would rather sit on their arse all game. The gold seats during the Ole Miss game were horrible as well.
