The bye week was well used. Miles laid a career game on Saban. Nice !

while the upswing of the last 10 years has been incredible for the program, we still have a long way to go to reach the level of accomplishment that teams such as notre dame, michigan, bama, and the u (yes the U) have. florida state had a run of 15 years finishing in the top 5. we're not there yet

You think one game changed that?

We beat a ranked Alabama team in Tiger Stadium for the first time EVER.

You read that correctly. In 100 years, LSU had never, ever beaten a Bama team currently ranked in the AP poll on our home field. EVER. Until last Saturday.

It's a great victory.

But it's only one win.

But I will say this...
this one win did give me the ammo to get some Bammers to admit that their program is now merely "on par" with LSU and Florida.

Which, while not proving that we are/aren't elite, does prove that Bama's post-Bear identity crisis continues. Saban hasn't tamed that problem yet.

God help the Bammers if they lose to State. It's a must win game for Saban.

Tim to give the Perriloux dead horse a few more whacks...

We finally saw what the team can do with decent QB vs a quality opponent. And I'm not counting an over-rated GT as a quality opponent.

2008 and 2009 would have gone down very differently with a QB as talented as Perriloux on the roster. Remember, RP's last start as a Tiger he was named SECCG MVP.

We've been wandering in the wilderness for two years, blaming Miles and Crowton for not being able to make silk purses out of sow's ears.

It's great to be back!

We beat UGA at UGA last year... they're down.

We beat UF in the swamp, they're down.

Now we beat a Bama team that was the highest ranked of the once beatens and .. shocker... they're down.

Gimme a fricking break.

Don't you think it was about time????

says the worst poster on this board.

Fact is lsu is 59-16 under miles the last 6 years...there are very few bcs schools who can say that....secondly, lsu is one of only two schools to have won a BCS Title TWICE. Third, in each of miles years, he has had his team in the top 10 at some point during the season.

We all know that NO team from a power conference is good every single year indefinitely.....and the struggles lsu has had the last few years were pretty damn good down years.....guys like this freak who has almost 70,000 posts...they just don't have a clue.

lmao...florida may have lost to two of the top 5 schools in the nation...and they will likely end up 10-3 this year and in the top 10 or 12 in the nation.....

Bama may end up 11-2 this year....very good probability....and ranked in the top 5 or 6 of the nation.....

dumb fricks....without the losses to lsu, both would even be better......the only glaring loss was florida to miss state coming after florida getting beat up two straight weeks...by power house clubs.

and no one ever will be in the SEC of today....period. You are talking about programs that had nowhere near the weekly competition of the SEC today.

Whoa BUB!!! It was great to beat Bama and Queen Saban, however Bama is down this year and way over rated.
and there it is.

Is LSU the only team that can't have a "down year" ex. 08, 09?

What is the definition of elite in college football today? How often do teams repeat as SEC Champions? Also as happy as I am to finally see our offense play good for a half we still have not won an SEC West division title in 3 years. But who knows LSU has had alot of good bounces this year. Maybe Georgia pulls out a win against Auburn.
