I still think a few more wins can make a big difference

Have you asked Kendall Rogers?

A big difference meaning what exactly? If we win out the absolute best we can do is #13

Rogers has Texas A&m hosting over LSU. He is an Aggie alumnus.

All you people downvoting what is your problem?

There are 12 locks to host. Currently if we hosted we would be the 14 seed likely. The absolute best we could do is #13 because we just aren’t passing Oregon State IMO

A big difference in removing any doubt. LSU had 37 wins last year and 19 against SEC opponents after the SEC tourney. There was an outside shot that they might host, but we at least thought that, as possibly the strongest 2 seed, we could play reasonably close to home and against one of the weaker 1 seeds, Did that happen? NOOOOO, they bent LSU over and sent them as far away from home as possible to arguably the strongest team in the tournament who eventually did win it all.

DO NOT TRUST THE SELECTION COMMITTEE. I actually think they need TWO more wins to feel safe, although a win against Mississippi State should absolutely seal the deal.

The downvotes are likely because we aren't really a lock. If we weren't a lock before beating a shitty South Carolina team doesn't make us one. It's definitely better than a loss, but we definitely need more positive results this week before we can watch selection sunday without sweating.

Well the difference is our RPI was 29 last year and or SOS was 9. This year our SOS is 7 and our RPI is around 20. Also yea we finished with 9 wins but we went 15-15 regular season conference, which matters way more

Well you want the weakest #2 that you can possibly get in the BR regional and also moving up a few spots can help with Super Regional pairing

Actually, that isn't even accurate. The 16 teams that the selection committee deems as the top teams will host, it is seldom the actual best 16 teams.

And as for LSU being a lock, people seem to forget that if LSU does not win another game in the tourney, that means they are adding two LOSSES to their resume.

They absolutely need to beat state to ensure that they play the Regional at the Box.

I don't know if Moo St is a must win when it comes to hosting a regional... but a loss there would almost make the elimination game against the Auburn/Vandy loser (Auburn) a must win

a 2-2 record AT WORST in the SEC Tournament is necessary... and even then may need some help from others

ETA: I think the biggest thing right now is just last 1 game longer than aTm

I don’t really even think A&M is our competition. The way I look at it, the resumes are so similar that if 1 is let in, both need to be let in

Is that supposed to be some big accomplishment when you’re supposed to be one of the premier college baseball teams with more resources than anyone and were ranked in the top 3 in all polls to start the season?
