LSU is a perfect reason why the playoffs needed to expand.

Honestly I think the most it should ever go is 8. But we are experiencing a weird year in football. It’s normally a 2 horse race and we play an extra game for formality (look at the 4 seeds record). But this year is different. Georgia looks like the front runner. We don’t really know who Ohio state is. Clemson finally showed they are not that team. The field is definitely more open this year than previous.

There are going to be a lot of hurt feelings come December. There may be as many as 6-7 undefeated and one-loss teams. All will believe they deserve a spot in the playoffs.

Expand the CFB playoffs to 16 teams and ALA will be voted in every year . Fk that, I’m good with the current system where every team controls their own destiny … win and your in.

The FBS will be forced to go to 12 or 16 teams. The bowls have already become irrelevant as evidence by the opt outs last year. Teams need a real goal in post season play. Every other sport (FCS football, mens and womens basketball and football, NFL NBA, MLB) has wayyy more teams in postseason playing for a Championship. Why is the FBS an outlier.
