LSU Houston Alumni Tailgate -- Worth the $$?

Worried about mob scene, not enough food/drink -- We've got two teenage boys and one plate each won't cut it, particularly at $50/head! Any insights/suggestions? Thanks!!

$50/head and no included drinks is what sealed it for me not going. I don't see the value of it for myself personally. I will spend that $50 at Flying Saucer.

I don't know the soft drinks situation but I was meaning no beer or mixed beverage included for the $50. It's a cash bar. No problems with cash bar but cost of admission combined with the situation overall made it a no go for me.

until the next neutral site game and some alumni group puts on the same night before party with travis matte then another group advertises the hell out of some overpriced pregame tailgate party that they think will be the greatest party ever. all of these sponsored parties ruin the road game experience.

Booze is NOT included. The main guy posting and promoting it was at least clear about that. $50 gets you admission and a food ticket.
