Drop SMU or Arizona St. Keep McNeese and the money in state.

Kelly wants us in the Dublin game. With the mandate to schedule a power 4, it won't surprise me if that comes together.

Seems to be a conference game so if it were LSU I could see it being vs a team like Kentucky Mizzou or Vandy.

The E AD ausberry said if a weaker OOC P5 opponent or a weaker conference opponent wants to play their home game in Dublin, then we will do it.
LSU will never play their home game in a 40k seat capacity stadium, even if we already have 7 home games on the schedule.

Based on past Ireland matchups, LSU would get their expenses paid, so between $200k and $250k, plus 5% of the merchandise so that would be a good deal. Save money on expenses and get 5% of the merchandise, which we wouldn’t get if it was an away on campus game.

It’s basically called home away from home cause of how small the stadium is and low game guaranteed is for the home team.

So why is a lot of LSU fans making a big deal for playing in Ireland ? LSU is not getting a guaranteed it’s just basically an all expense paid trip. Most of the fans aren’t going to the game anyway, it’s mostly going to be wealthy donors and adults who can afford to travel to Ireland, so that’s about 5k to 10k LSU fans who would and can afford to go to the game.
