The 14 honors were the best in the first session. With 14 regular season honors announced earlier this season, LSU has now earned a school record 28 for the 2018 season. The mark bested the previous combined record of 27 set a year ago.

Congratulations everyone. Congrats to Cannamela, Ruby, and Desiderio for winning their first all american honors.

The Tiger train just keeps on rolling. They lose three great seniors and don't miss a beat.

Congrats to all of these great gymnasts who represent the university so well. Now lets have that One Shining Moment tomorrow night and grab that last missing crown.

Each of these ladies overcame adversity to earn their All American honors.

Christina Desiderio fell from beam in the first rotation. She flushed it and just went out and did a beautiful floor routine in her next rotation. She exhibited great mental toughness on the biggest stage and at such a young age. Bet a couple of team leaders kept her in the moment and she took it from there.

Ruby Harrold has struggled with inconsistency all year, had to sit out for while to get herself mentally strong and confident again and had a great meet today.

Juliana Cammanela dealt with an injury plagued sophomore season last year and has come on strong the latter part of this season to become a key contributor.

I feel like Campbell deserved better than a damn 9.85 with that performance

She IMO was the star of the beam rotation yesterday, to nail that routine after a fall was incredible.

This freshman class will do a lot of phenomenal stuff for this program. Durante will eventually be an all american on bars, Edwards will be on vault.

If there was a award for best walk on in the country Sarah Edwards would win hands down. I am amazed by her transformation. She literally had just learned how to do a yurchenko full before LSU and she is already doing a way more difficult vault. She does need one more offseason to clean some stuff up but LSU has a lot in store with her.

We have seen an incredible group of freshmen gymnasts grow up in the toughest conference in the country. After losing three great gymnasts to graduation and then McKenna getting injured it seemed it might be a push to get to the semifinals having to rely on so many young performers. Yet, here we are with a legitimate chance to to win the first national title. A lot has to go right tonight, especially from the judges and a couple of other teams leaving their top game on the floor yesterday.

It felt like LSU had fleeting moments of shakiness from unexpected sources so there is room to expand tonight and hopefully all judging will be on an even plane for a single session and the top 6 teams left.

Floor scoring might decide it tonight. LSU needs to hit and get credit for their difficulty, Oklahoma getting less credit for less challenging routines and UCLA getting docked for the sleight of foot they have gotten away with.

Regardless of how it turns out the future is incredibly bright with a ton of experienced talent returning, fewer spots to fill and some talented backups and incoming freshmen ready to compete.
