Good luck to former and current LSU golfers in the US Open at Shinnecock Hills GC starting tomorrow. Be sure to root for the Tigers while you're watching the tournament on TV. It's a great experience for our golf team members for future competition. Sam Burns is a rookie this year, still working for his full time tour card. He's done really well this season on both the Web.com tour and PGA tour.

Jacob Bergeron (a) - 8:35am
Luis Gagne (a) - 8:46am
Same Burns - 12:30pm
Philip Barbaree (a) - 2:31pm

Just interviewed the three current, no Burns, on the golf channel. Good job and good luck.

Gagne won a coin toss to move on during qualifying. Pretty unreal that you would leave a qualifier before it was over but even more unreal that a coin toss decided who would advance. Good for him and best of luck to all of them

I think Burns can do some damage.

He's got the talent to win majors in the future. Making the cut this year would be a big step in that direction.
