If you don't make it BIG at Bama and don't make a pot of $ in the league, you will be just another of Bama's "nig***s" and they will forget you in a heartbeat. They only like you if you've done something for them. You won't be one of their boys. And you will NEVER be able to come back to LA and get a decent job.

actually, Bama alum support their former players equal to or more than LSU's.

sorry....but it is what it is.

I have family who played for Bama and have seen it first hand. BUT, when I signed with LSU my peeps were awfully upset

I can't beleive that some of you actual beleive this nonsense. First of all, you would have to pretty petty and stupid if you didn't hire someone that was qualified for a job, because he played football for a team other than yours. IF You talk about LC having character issues, you need to look in the mirror first.
Next, like it or not the majority of people, even in La and Al are either fair weather fans or don't even care about football. For the NCG the city that with the highest rating was Birmingham with 61.2% of households watching. That also means 38.8% of households were NOT watching. NOLA was at 53.3. Didn't see BR. Now, Neilson ratings are not perfect, I don't think they count people watching in sports bars, and may understate things, for big games, poeple may have had parties with lots of guests watching. But still, there are a good number of people not watching, even in BHam, (and no they are not all Auburn fans )

A good friend of mine from college, that works in the media covering LSU, his dad runs his own business and couldn't care less about sports. Even if people like his dad are only 20% of the population, that's still over 800K people (more than twice the population of NOLA) that could hire him, and that's assuming all the rest will hold this grude, which they won't. 5-10 years from now, the vast majority of people won't even remember there was was contraversy, if they knew at all.

Fortunely the vast majority are also adult enough to not get upset about where a kid we don't know chooses to go to school and play football. He's a good player and I'd like to have had him at LSU, but if he wants to go else where for whatever reasons, its his choice. I don't care and I sure as hell won't care 5-10 years from now. If you hold a gridge against this kid, you really need to get a life.
