I think the three titles under three diffeent coaches speaks volumes. It says the talent is certainly here.

17 times finishing ranked in the final AP poll out of a possible 20 years. Only Oklahoma has done better (18) and only Ohio St. has done as well (17).

18 OOC wins for LSU vs. teams that finished ranked in the final polls since the 2000 season started. Georgia has 16. Alabama has 15. USC has 15. Clemson has 15. Ohio St. has 15. Oklahoma has 13. Miami has 13. Florida has 12. Florida St. has 12. Oregon has 11. South Carolina has 10. Wisconsin has 10. Everyone else is in single digits.
But LSU leads with 18 !!!!

And I highly doubt he would have won another NC.
so your saying a HC with 2 NC already hasnt proved he could?

Saban is an infinitely better head coach than Les Miles.
you mean the best coach in cfb history is vastly superior to Miles?

Does LSU claim the 1908 championship ? That would put us at five.
They should absolutely Own & Claim it !!
Unlike Many National Championship that other schools claim , This One is Recognized by the NCAA
LSU Lead by Triple threat quarterback Doc Fenton ,led the nation in points scored. The Tigers were coached by Edgar Wingard and posted a perfect 10–0 record, outscoring opponents 442 to 11. The Tigers were retro-picked as co-national champion by the National Championship Foundation, and the NCAA recognizes LSU as national champion for that season along with Penn.
LSU 10 - 0 - National Championship Foundation (NCAA Recognized and Recorded)
Penn 11 -0 - 1 - (Shared and Claimed)
There is NO REASON NOT to Claim this Title.

There is NO REASON NOT to Claim this Title.
