But have you paid any attention to LSU this offseason?
Dude has put in some major work.
Are you fuching kidding?

He fired his hand picked OC and cost us 1.5 mil in buyouts

Hired a yesman that will say “yes sir” that hasn’t been a college OC in 20 years

Tried to hire his sons football coach that was out of the job because he was suing the state

Signed the lowest ranked recruiting class in 15 years.

Put in serious work where?

I’m so goddamn tired of the “Oh we’re coming. Just not anytime soon” narrative.

You know who put in serious work in the offseason Will Fuching Wade.

That’s why the basketball program is taking step forward and the football program is taking a step back.

Open your eyes man.

I’m as big of an O critic as they come, but this is on Alleva, man.

Agree.

If I come home and my wife says “the monkey wrecked my car” I’m not going to be mad at the monkey. I’m going to be mad at the person that put the monkey behind the wheel.

At the same time- I’m gonna get that monkey out of the car too.

But you’re 100% right- Until Alleva is removed it’s a mute point. Hell he can’t afford to get rid of O. His shitty negioting skills will fuch over LSU again with yet another major buyout.

The O hire was terrible and should have never happened at LSU. Ultimately Alleva has hitched his wagon to him and he knows it. I hate the hire but I sincerely hope we do well this year and I’m praying that it works out for the best for everyone involved. A successful year and a big recruiting class could go a very long way.

Agreed. An unsuccesf year and disappointing recruiting class will go along way too.

Luckily for O- It’s all in his control. He will decide his own fate.

Alleva pretty much needs a final 4 run by wade and 10 wins by O for the board to extend his contract.

I think the board just lets Joe’s contract expire next June and O gets ‘19. Or he gets as much as Scott Woodward gives him.

Last year was not a good season. Half of the teams we beAt fired their coaches bc they were so bad.

At what point do we just blow it up and hire a coach that will build a good program? Do we give O the entire year?

Yes. This season will determine alleva and O’s fate.
