practice reports verified what I've been hearing about minter in the weight room....dude is a beast
he wasn't recruited by Georgia, his state school, so I don't buy it...
Thanks,

I sweat my arse off for my Tigers no matter who the qb is. I want all of them to play well. So there!

You do know Rohan Davey was a Pick machine when he was an underclassmen right?
When?
In '99 when he went 4 tds/4 picks?
In '00 when he went 7 tds/1 pick?
In '01 when he went 18 tds/ 10 picks?
When was he a pick machine? Or maybe was someone just pulling a little BS out of their arse?

Can you picture what TS whould be like if JL takes the field and throws a pick???
You know the entire staduim whould be on pins and needles...

He never stepped on the field as a Redshirt freshman and had 4 picks in hardly any playing time as a sophmore. I only remember him having a good game against Arky that year and him being absolutely terrible in every other appearance. He turned out to be one of our best ever though.....I sure as Hell didn't think he would at the time.

Yeah, I couldn't find any stats on it.

The reality is that JL has absolutely no margin for error and it doesn't matter when we on this board think and post. If he gets into a close SEC game next year and throws a pick six, he is done. For the season, maybe forever. Can you imagine TS if he throws a pick 6 against Auburn next year?
I just can't see how this is going to end well for JL. Unfortunately people don't usually recover from this kind of stuff. I hope he does, because it is only good for LSU if it happens, but it's nothing more than wishful thinking at this point.

Totally Agree....

Comparing RD's one quarter in one game to JL's entire season is pretty weak guys. Cmon, you know who the pick machine that year was.
Booty - 19 picks/ 7 TDs
Rohan was the only QB on the team that didn't have more ints than tds, he was 4/4.
BTW, Nall was 2 picks/ no tds.

I don't know, if he has been lighting it up and has like 9 or 10 touchdowns in 2 or 3 games, I think a pick six will be a little easier to swallow. I will say the kid never did seem afraid to throw the ball last year. When the season was over, I thought we would never see him again, but I'm optimistic after reading what he has been doing since.

that's the other side of the coin though...Lee led LSU on TD drives last year like no other RSFR since Hodson.

See wishful thinking comment above.
He can throw 25 tds in the Wash, Vandy, ULL and Miss State games and it won't matter an iota to the fans in TS if he goes out and throws a pick 6 in the first quarter of the Florida game. Just sayin.
And the only side of the coin the fans give a crap about right now are those damn pick 6s. You are assuming no one else can lead this team on TD drives. I think that is silly considering JJ's performance in only two games as a TRUE freshman.

I doubt he gets enough playing time to do much anyway to be honest. I will be surprised if he ends up starting over JJ. I'm just saying I won't be upset if he does by outplaying him.

at FL last year he went 11-13 on 2 TD drives to pull the Tigers to 20-14. The defense was beyond shitty though. With a good D, Crowton could have protected the QB position a little more.

I am a little amazed at all of the people being criticized for pointing out the obvious with JL. You can make all of the excuses that you want, poor play calling, he's a freshman, no one tackled the returner, we ran different plays with JL compared to JJ ... blah blah blah, yada yada yada... whatever makes you feel better at night.
The reality is that some people just make dumb decisions and throw interceptions and some people don't.
Jamie Howard - threw ints
Herb Tyler - Didn't
JL - throws ints
JJ - Doesn't
You can demean me if you want and you can say I am dogging on a 20 year old. Fine. I can take it. But you damn well know that as soon as JL gets back into an SEC game with the game on the line, Lord help us, you and me both are going to be sweating our asses off with our fingers crossed that he doesn't perform a Georgia/Florida frickup again, and we aren't going to breathe easy until the last second ticks off with us ahead. Pretend if you want, but you know that shite is true. And the players feel the same way. No one likes waiting for the other shoe to drop and that's why JJ is the starter. I hope he does well, but he is going to have to prove it multiple times before anyone, including his teammates believe in him again.
A season like last year can just ruin a guy. And it sucks not only for him but for LSU as well because we are probably going to need him to play some significant minutes again this year.
Like I said, dog me if you want, but I just have no faith that he is going to be any different this year. Sue me for being realist.
shut up
