ESPN just said NC ST 11 seed was highest seed to ever make final 4. I thought LSU was 11 seed in 1986.

They were. George Mason was also an 11th seed in 2006.

Maybe they meant since a certain date but the line said highest seed too make final 4. Didn’t say anything about a date.
