LSU fans: quit comparing Lee to McCoy

Colt McCoy had one of the best seasons for a freshman QB ever, then had a slightly down sophomore year, and a very good junior year. Lee had a pretty bad freshman year.

McCoy threw 18INT's his 2nd yr.
Lee not so much his freshman yr.

Lee wears weights around his ankles during games, McCoy doesn't

Maybe they're just using Colt as an example of someone who came back from a tough year.
But I agree that it is too early to compare Lee to McCoy. Lee has a lot to prove before they can even be considered as the same caliber.

Yes... JL's lack of mobility is of great concern. The two aren't even close in this department.

Precisely. Maybe I am missing something, but it seems this is what people are doing, showing that McCoy bounced back from a tough season.

Lee can improve. You people act like his doomed to a life of sucking arse. It appears half of you fools have never watched a player develop. Your just making yourselves look fricking retarded.
Do us a favor and leave the dude alone.

It's only a statement that players can improve. Only time will tell.
No comparison to their individual physical capabilities.

Their individual physical capabilities have a little something to do with their ability to improve.

A better comparison would be Jamie Howard IMO.

Jarret Lee only started a couple of years in high school. Becoming a proficient QB in the SEC is a process.
The goofs who think Lee can't dramatically improve over last year, are goofy stupid.

Absolutely. Lets revisit after the season.

Yeah, instead of acknowledging that someone can bounce back from a good season, let the haters wallow in their ignorance.
Besides, the fricking receivers quit on him last season. Everyone knows that Tolliver and Ricky Dixon should have gotten more playing time, Byrd is a crybaby that quit on the team and couldn't run a route from the couch to the bathroom, and you could build a castle with the stone in Lafell's hands. Stop making this a one man sport.

Just as it was for Dan Marino.
