The students today are generally much more poorly behaved than 40 years ago when I was at LSU. We weren’t angels, but we weren’t complete assholes.
I had LSU students directly in front of me and when LSU made a big play they would turn to the Clemson fans behind us and say F you and give them the finger. Those Clemson fans hadn’t even interacted with the LSU students prior to that at all, just happened to be wearing Clemson jerseys. The Clemson fans just ignored them which tended to enrage the LSU students even more. The LSU students were complete jerks. It was embarrassing.
