Very concerned about flooding in Nola. Main reason I was against moving the game there.

I am boycotting NOLA. We are going to eat in Slidell and go straight to the Dome. Watch the game and head home

You are exactly right, and as of this morning the track is moving east. NOLA could get 5-10 inches easy. Hopefully the Katrina upgrades work.

I am no Alleva fan but in my mind I'm going to take the fact that this game was moved to New Orleans as an admission by the powers that be that LSU was wronged in last year's Florida game. No proof, but that's how I'm taking it.

It's been in the forecast for this to move east.
It will be gone by Thursday and the city will have plenty of time for the water to drain from the streets.

The weather channel says the chance of rain in NOLA is 50% or higher through next Tuesday....

It is kind of strange that the mayor is telling people to stay home yet, the city agrees to host a football game.

But, i'd much rather nola than orlando or the other options that were discussed.

He's asking people to stay home today due to chances of flash flooding in some areas that may affect streets. Today is Tuesday

I agree. I feel like the original plan was to wait out most of today and gauge the direction the storm is most likely headed before announcing a venue. Not sure if ESPN was feeling pressure on making a timely decision, but it won't be good if the storm heads East.

The storm was moving east anyway. That's been the prediction. It's not going to strengthen so Nola may get a little street flooding over the next few days and then things will settle down with exemption of some normal lite showers

80% chance through Friday
50% on Saturday
80% chance on Sunday

Moving it to NOLA was the wrong call, IMO. If the Cotton Bowl was viable it should be there. Fans would be able to go and no chance of flooding. Only negative is outside stadium, but the storm should be through there by Saturday.
