I doubt we will need Hess against UGA. Also if Bain and Gilbert (who we may see tonight) pitch yesterday then they have more rest for this weekend

Probably, but CPM wanted Hess to build his confidence rather than to win this particular game. Important in the long run to a young pitcher. If Hess turns out to be the pitcher everyone wants him to be nobody will remember this game.
