You must be one of those people that actually like, participation awards.
Nah, hate 'em. What you're ascribing to a want of competitive spirit is actually due to cool, rational thinking.
I have also long realized that, until the last three or four weeks of the regular season, Manieri has winning as priority #2 behind improving. So each year I wait to see how good the team will be when CPM puts the final pieces together.

Well Stated........... sad thing is these snowflakes that trash players, coaches, etc never played enough to gain the insight and damn sure are too spoiled to concern themselves with real world issues that effect their daily lives. Kinda like the fighting age Americans who run their mouth about Iran, Russia, S. Korea but have never ever considered stepping foot in a recruiters office. RICH spoiled LSU fan-kids are more concerned about watching sports(fantasizing it was them) than raising/supporting their own kid.

I'm less of a fan because I don't like PM and I don't think he is a good coach?
No but it makes you an idiot
Had those players not chosen to come back, this conversation would be going a totally different direction. So, PM got lucky this year.
I don't deny luck is part of it, but you guys are insane if you don't think there are 20 coaches out there that could have LSU performing at the same or better level than PM has the last 7 years.
Nonetheless, PM made some good decisions down the stretch and has managed the team really well for the most part in the CWS. Win or lose, I'll personally be staying off his back for a while.

Whatever you say, little buddy. Mainieri is a great coach whether you want to admit it or not. Please list the 20 coaches that would replicate this success. Thanks
