Why is it that the SEC is down in the rankings? I understand the early season rankings don't mean much but this is pretty sad. Alabama #1 and then no othe SEC team in the top 10.

Are the recruits shying away from the SEC because of Alabama's dominance? Are the other conferences facilities and coaching finally catching up with the SEC? What gives? SEC isn't the darling that it once was. Did the playoffs cause recruits and coaches to flee the SEC because there are easier roads to the championship?

I think some of it is SEC fatigue by the media, coaches, etc. SEC has been dominate for a while that media is looking for a change. Hence USC at #4, Ohio St only dropping to #8, etc. In my opinion the Big 10 is getting more respect than they deserve.

Tell me who you would like to be in the top 10? Maybe LSU. Auburn was just exposed offensively. Georgia loses its starting QB. Florida and Texas A&M have reached new lows. Ole Miss is ineligible. Arkansas just got blown out by TCU. Need I talk about Vandy, Missouri, and Kentucky?

If I'm remembering correctly, only Bama and UGA have played & beat ranked teams as of yet.

Maybe UGA is getting a little bit of dis there. Yeah, they have a freshman QB so might be giving some pause, but you still got Michel and Chubb. And a D that looked spectacular against a talented dual-threat QB. So yeah, they deserve more.

As for the rest of the SEC there's been some bad games (TAMU, Arky, UF) and then teams like us where we are getting the "haven't played anybody" treatment.

AND what the poster above said. The perception, with over the last several years truth, that it's Alabama and everyone else is now the gospel truth throughout the nation. Until proven otherwise. Looks like AU and UF aren't going to do it. It's up to us and UGA.

All of the elite coaches are avoiding coaching against Saban every year. 5-10 years ago you could legitimately say that half of the top 8 or so coaches in the country were coaching in the SEC

The East sucks and Saban destroyed the rest of the West.
