Tie breaker would be that Auburn beat us into a head to head match up sending Auburn to the SEC CG.

Unless we get a trophy we better not claim any titles

They are exactly in the indoor facility
(from the LSU Pro Day this past March)
I know its tough to see, but for those that have never been, the first 2 banners from left to right are for the 1996 & 1997 SEC Western Division Co-Champions. The 2 next to that are for the 2001 Western Division title and the 2001 SEC title. Next is the lights, and then to the far right is a banner for the 2002 SEC Western Division Co-Champions.
If you look very closely you'll notice a slight difference between the 96, 97, & 02 banners and the 2001 banner other than the years. This difference is below the SEC logo and above where the 'AM' of CHAMPIONS is. It says 'CO-', as in "1997 SEC WESTERN DIVISION CO-CHAMPIONS'
I guess its easy to be ignorant because one would assume most fans have never been in the indoor facility. However, the elitist attitude ands saying we'd never claim a co-championship like Ole Miss is just stupid. The team(s) with the highest conference record are deemed champion(s) of there division regardless of head-to-head records, which matters ONLY for who represents the division in the SEC championship game.

I don't think they award any trophies, but if the rules say we are co-champs, then throw up a banner the players and coaches can always look back on. They deserve it.

A clearer view of the banners:
96,97,02 say "Co-Champions"
ETA: and the writing under the years says "WESTERN DIVISION" or something like that.

Thanks. I searched for a while for some proof but that was the best i could find. The words under the year do say "WESTERN DIVISION" which is why the second 2001 & 2003 banners don't include it
