I don't think Bamer should have dropped us in the AP.
+1
This is just typical Media Love Fest for a team from the "glory days". You see this shite for teams like Notre Dame, 'Bama, Michigan, Ohio State, etc etc. They get a few wins, and the media creams themselves. Pathetic. They'll change their tune when the Gumps go running from Death Valley with their tails between their legs.

Aren't the coaches' ballots public now? Or is that just for the final ballot? I'm wondering who voted us #1

if everyone in the media thinks bama is the #1 team in the country right now, i don't really give a damn. sec and big 12 teams will beat each other up.

IMO, the most shocking developments in these polls:
The coaches only jumped Alabama to #4.
The coaches jumped us over Missouri.
I thought Alabama was a lock for #2 in both polls, and our best case scenario was #3 in both, with either #4 or #5 more likely. Apparently, Les Miles is more liked among his colleagues than Nick Saban is.

Ole Miss just set us up for the fight of our life next Saturday in Gainesville. I am
praying already.....
Might want to hold off until next Sunday. We have a bye next Saturday, and Florida plays at Arkansas.

Both OSU and Ole Miss were 20+ point dogs. Florida was at home. They were about the same.
But the Florida loss was more competitive. USC was lucky to get as close as they did. Florida was closer, and was unlucky to be in the position they were in.

its funny how Georgia plays the number 8 team and drops to 10,11.... and USC loses to an UNRANKED PAC10 team and is still ahead of georgia

I don't get the love for Bama. They should have lost to Tulane, are up 31 against Georgia at half time and Georgia makes a game of it. Alabama is good but in no freaking concievable way should they jump LSU!
And USC being in the top 10 proves beyond a doubt that the rankings are decided by people with little grey matter.

It's funny how people always complain about the rote voting methods of the pollsters - until rote voting helps them and doesn't hurt them.

Bama has really beaten ONE GOOD TEAM....And who knows if UGA will fall off in the tanks after this. They still have to play a tough SEC Schedule...
Clemson is obviously not the team everyone made them out to be! How do we not get ONE first place AP Vote??
yeah everyone on this thread is correct, doesn't matter now and we will more than likely get dropped next week after having a bye??
So how does that work in the long run; If a team jumps a team when they have a bye and both teams win out with no remaining byes left, who jumps whom at the end??

I don't think it has anything to do with a "love fest" for Bama. They played great and won, we looked like shite and won. That's the difference. When you do just good enough to win against a team like Miss State that's what happens. Long way to go though, this poll means nothing.

The top 10 will tumble fall and rerise before this season is over. It will be shuffled and reshuffled until 2 teams get enough votes in the end to play. Probably another controversy again this year.

It might not be a love fest for Bamer but it is strange to go from #8 to 21 first place votes i think.
