Absolutely it was on Doughty.
They were given the call before the play - either go home or take the out at first and concede the run. He gets an out, and if the next batter grounds out the same way. It's still 2-2 in the 9th.

Well, Paul is still pulling pitchers too early and leaving pitchers in too long. He should have fricking left Hilliard alone after the 5th and reevaluated the situation. He put in a freshman pitcher in a horrible spot and here we are.

fricking bullshite. Another game mainieri pissed away bc he pulled Hilliard too early in a game which we were winning at the time. Bullllllshiiiit. The was 100% on mainieri.
