What does A&M have left pitching wise?

Should have been 2-1 then.
It's fair to say that he gave up 1 run and the final score should've been 2-1.

LSU has to make those plays. Still, LSU should not have been in the position to have to make those plays if the plate umpire was even above average.

That’s a good point. This team has started to really slow. Our two good starters seem like they never pitch with a lead.

You're right. The bats actually looked good against Tennessee's Sunday starter. They looked terrible for 17 of the 18 innings on Friday and Saturday against Tennessee. They didn't look good again today. The Alabama series was alright. Auburn was awful.

So like people are saying, and like the results show, the bats are inconsistent. That doesn't mean they're a bad team. Beating Tennessee provided a huge boost because a bunch of teams lost ahead of LSU. It's nice being #2 but to say the bats aren't inconsistent would be wrong. Prager was cruising today with no pressure put on him.

I agree. The bigger problem is the lack of run production.

Kade must be a really good teammate. He deserves to nut punch everyone for their lack of run support.

Normally I’d agree. But you’re wrong here

That ball was well hit, oppo, and would’ve been out in any park. It was 369’ and Alex Box is 365’ in the alleys

We start so damn slow at the plate most games.
We lead the country in 1st inning runs.

I think people just need to take a deep breath. Jay teams traditionally score a bunch early, then take pitches and run counts for a couple innings, then hammer in the 4th, 5th, 6th.

Is that true in SEC play? I feel like our mid week stuff greatly misleads things.

There best guy by far, Moss, threw about 30 pitches today.
I bet we get the offense moving in G2. That was just a weird fricking game.

If that was their best guy then I like the Tigers from the University of LSU to win games 2 & 3 easily!

100%.

Didn't have it in game 1. Need it in game 2.

I came into this series expecting to go 1-2. I've had this as a series loss since my pre-season prediction. Weekend after biggest series of the year, on the road, toughish environment. I won't really be concerned unless we get swept.

I think we go 5-1 the next 2 weekends. I won't be melting over this weekend's results regardless. I'll be mad if we get swept, but acknowledge that every thing is still in front of us. 19 likely locks up a national seed.

Lsu should be able to easily go 4-2 over their next two series, but the offense is so erratic you never know.

If they had any type of consistent offense it would be

Kade and Cowan
Eyanson and Evans

However, you have players swinging at first pitches when they never did during the first 20 games. Then fouling off and constantly down to the opposing pitcher. LSU has lost being smart at the plate offensively.

Wouldn’t even be mad if LSU lost this series or got swept. Don’t be #1, this team doesn’t have the mindset for that. Let them play with a little chip on their shoulder in the postseason

I said when the lineup was posted that Pearson getting the start was interesting bc of the L on L matchup. With Freys PH or lack there of it feels like the beginning of the end on the Frey experiment.

You can move people up and down the batting order. Jay has literally done it all year. No one said take him out.

Rizy looks to be rounding into form. Mayers looks to maybe be turning a corner? I'm super high on Williams. I don't think the overall outlook of the staff is as dire as some here.

I think the bats come to life tonight. We'll see in about 45 mins
