Went to the egg bowl in 99. Before they enclosed it. Drinks flew from the student section towards the state fans all night. Watched a get knocked out from behind only because he rang a cowbell.

Our experience earlier this year was completely different. Maybe because we were getting beat? It was a hot afternoon game and my wife mentioned she was getting thirsty . The Ole Miss guy behind us literally handed us two brand new bottles of water ! Pre-game in The Grove was even better - we were invited into no less than 10 tailgate parties! Next year might go the other way, but I’ll let you know !

Kiffin has repeatedly said the return to Tennessee was unlike any game he had ever coached in from an opposing fanbase intensity level. He was in his fourth different coaching job after leaving Tennessee by that point. I don’t think Ole Miss will be other this in three years.

I’ll bookmark this and come back to check next year. They could be winless and this game’s tickets still won’t be cheap IMO. One of us will be very wrong.
