That thread isn't linked properly, and should get whacked. I like this one better.

It's crazy that Sagarin has LSU ranked #17 according to his "pure points" system for bettors, but has LSU ranked #3 according to the ELO-Chess formula that the BCS uses.

In other news, Sagarin STILL has the Pac10 ranked ahead of the SEC as a conference: LINK.

Pac10 has 4 teams with a winning record vs SEC with 8 teams with a winning record. How is the Pac10 ahead of the SEC??

And 9 OOC losses from 10 teams vs. the SEC's 5 OOC losses from 12 teams. It's a fricking mystery to me too.

EDIT: And Pac10 teams only play 3 OOC games each!!

in a way. There are three columns of data.

notice, however, Sagarin has ARKY rated 1 pt higher than LSU in PURE POINTS PREDICTOR, and since Arky is hosting the game,
that means ARK is a 4 point favorite in Sagarins "BOOK".
Sagarin is really saying, for his money, LSU is ranked #17, and ARKY is #12.

Sagarin ALSO uses the BCS system wherein LSU Is #3, so he can be in the system. Two prior programmers QUIT the BCS when they stopped allowing the programs to use pure points.
