The loudest I recall is during the win over Florida in 2007...it was nuts when the USC loss was announced meaning LSU would be ranked #1 with a win over Florida.
Which was pretty stupid
The score was shown on the game tracker inside the stadium a good 3 minutes before it was announced. I mean damn. You must not have paid attention to anything in the stadium not to know the score before they announced it

PJ you know I've been to LSU games
I may be young but I've been to them
It's just my opinion. It wasn't as loud as I expected it to be during my years there. If Florida 2007 is the standard for my generation then I'm not impressed

That was a great game, but it was too damn hot to be the loudest ever. I remember seeing tons of people at the first aid stations.
Miserable weather.

I had some acquaintances that came in from out of town for that game, LSU fans all their life, who were also underwhelmed by the crowd for this game.
I personally thought the reaction to the USC loss was pretty impressive, but for the game itself that one doesn't make my top 10.
Course I've been around alot longer than most of you.

We do make the stadium more than it is. The amenities are horrible. Bathrooms suck. Seating sucks. Grass field is yesterday. We were one of the last teams in the conference to get new age technology TV's. Sound system is crap.
The only thing that no other university can touch is the Golden Band from Tigerland

Of course those shouldn't be why you go to a game
You should go to the games to cheer your arse off and support your team
Thats what I do. Wish todays LSU fans could do the same

Honestly, I always thought that it was louder before they added the upper decks to it. That said, it holds up well compared to many others that I've been to - and I've seen a bunch.

I cannot say I've been to these other stadiums
I have so I can go on personal experience.

Auburn is louder when they are good
Which they likely won't be again for a considerable amount of time.
Nice looking campus and town but nothing outside of that seperates them from anywhere else I've been.

TS cannot touch the Swamp. Swamp is hella loud
Disagree with the first sentence but most definitely agree with the second. Those folks can raise the roof, no doubt.

The history is great the architecture is cool. But it's pretty much a dump.
Well, we never claimed that it was aesthetically pleasing, did we dumbass?

Whole game- USC game 1979
Ole Miss game 1972, when the ref's arms signaled touchdown on Jones completion to Brad Davis.

the Loudest game ever heard in TS is on record as being, THE EARTHQUACK GAME", Fuller catches the pass in the endzone and the whole city of BATON ROUGE shook

ONE MOMENT!!! The rest of the game the crowd was pretty lame.

sadly you are mistaken
It caused a little slight tremor
Which is kinda unique. LSU one of the few university's in the south to have a seismometer on campus
My professor in the GEOL building told me that thing goes off when a truck rides down the street
That game is so overrated
The will go off for most football games. They just don't have it on much anymore
Thats what he said though

"Tense" would be more correct, not "Lame". You could feel the intensity for the whole defensive struggle. The last second eruption that caused the richter to go off was all of the pent-up energy.
All games mentioned were great. Everybody has their most memorable. This kind of thread is fun, thanks

As I posted earlier, I got so bored in that game that I left. It was 3 clouds and dreadful. Our D was good, but AU QB -"(slack??? - can't remember) was horrible despite his build-up going into the game and it wasn't about D as much as the guy missed so many open receivers.
I had to study and leave for wrok at 5 the next morning. I was in the stadium still shooting the shite with a friend when we got the ball back and started that last drive. I didn't even see the play, but felt the impact. That stadium shook me like I never felt. maybe it was b/c of where I was located - not sure.
