Thanks for all those who answered my question about Loston delaying surgery. I didn't know at what point the medical staff was allowed to have contact with LSU athletes. I figured it might have been after they signed their LOI, but it appears as if they can only work on them after they are enrolled, so the delay makes sense.
Does anyone know what is going on with Claiborne and Logan? I thought they had been cleared long ago, but along with Jones, Loston, and Akiem Hicks (who was wrapping up classes at his juco), they didn't have official photos up on the LSU site either.

Logan has been cleared but I think was just waiting until about this time to go to campus. Not sure on the others.

Yeah, I might be over thinking the Claiborne and Logan pictures. They could have just been sick, out of town, or having a bad hair day

No, you're right. It means that they haven't made it to campus yet. But it's possible that they had a valid reason for not making it yet, like maybe they had some stuff to take care of at home first.
I would think that Claiborne is qualified bc he seems like a smart kid. Don't know for sure though.

He supposedly had a 20 on the ACT and 2.6 gpa, and that's more than enough to qualify. I guess we'll see if he and Logan have updated photos in the next week or two. From all I could gather, the only guys who were expected to have a hard time qualifying were Loston and Jones, and at least Loston has already been cleared.
If Tahj can't qualify for the summer, I bet he'll take the Harry Coleman/Rocky Duplessis route and try to get on the team in January.

I hope so. IMO that kid is going to be bigtime in 2-3 years. His Senior film was very impressive.

does loston look a little bigger in the face in that picture or is it just me. And if he's really 212 now he has gotten much bigger, i think he was listed at 192 or something like that when he signed

@6'2" 212 (as a incomming freshman) he could end up as one of the outside LB's

Well, since it appears he is cleared and ready to play (or at least take a redshirt season), I am not going to spend too much time worrying about it. It looks like it won't be impacting his time at LSU too negatively, right?
