YouTube TV lost ABC and ESPN as of midnight. What is the best way to get those channels ba

I lost Disney-owned content on YoutubeTV last night. Today I cancelled YTTV and went in with the Hulu Live TV Disney bundle. We already had Disney+ as part of a Verizon deal, so I had to jump through a few hoops.

If anyone else is planning to swap to or add Hulu Live TV to an existing Disney+ package, here's some helpful tips:

1. You will need to cancel your existing Disney+, ESPN+, and/or Hulu subscriptions (you can renew them with the same email address, so this is not a big hurdle).

2a. As part of #1, you may need to call Disney support to make sure the cancellation is effective immediately instead of at the end of the billing cycle. I did this and waited on hold for about 30min for support as they are slammed right now with the YTTV mess.

2b. Disney support can cancel the services that are through them directly, including ESPN+ and Hulu, but if you are using a 3rd party for the billing (i.e. Verizon for Disney+) you will have to cancel it there as well. I did this in the MyVerizon app on my phone and then continued with Disney support.

3. After the existing services are cancelled, start at Hulu, NOT at Disney+ or ESPN+. Go to Hulu's site and choose the Hulu with Live TV Disney Bundle. If you start with Disney+ and try to add Hulu, you can the Hulu streaming service but not live TV.

4. Use your same email address from earlier if you cancelled. Once paying for the bundle is complete, Hulu with Live TV will be active and you can then click buttons to activate (or re-activate if that's the case) your Disney+ and ESPN+ stuff.

5. After you've made sure your new service is in place, don't forget to go back and cancel your old one with YouTubeTV if applicable.

For me, the switch was a no-brainer, as getting access to all of the ESPN channels and SEC Network are pretty key for me. Also, my kids get pretty good use out of the live Disney channel lineup despite having Disney+ streaming as well.

If I were living alone, it would be that easy. But, each service has different lineup and certain channels must be available with new service.

I hear you. I had to do a channel comparison today, and found that for my family, the Hulu lineup of channels was actually more favorable than the YouTubeTV ones. YTTV has local PBS, AMC, and MLB/NBA. Hulu has History, A&E and Lifetime. And now, Hulu has all of the Disney-owned channels like the ESPN networks and such. Hulu wins on channels as of midnight last night. ><

I could be wrong-you may have to walk 31 feet off campus. Nationally NOBODY CARES ABOUT COLLEGE BASEBALL. You have to watch the games on streaming for Pete's sake. We have 3 page threads on how to find every damned baseball game online. No such problem for the 2 major sports.
