We seem to be hurting at the OL and RB positions right now, if we don't fill these we could have offensive issues for quite some time
Have you even looked at the commit list?
AND:
In football recruiting news, it’s no secret that LSU is in search of a couple of JUCO linemen to come in and immediately help in the trenches. One candidate to do just that is Damien Lewis of Northwest Mississippi Community College, a 6-foot-3, 320-pound offensive guard who LSU offered a couple of weeks ago. Upon receiving the offer, Lewis called LSU his dream school and just yesterday it was reported that he has scheduled his official visit to LSU for the Texas A&M game on November 24. Another O-lineman who could very well end up a part of LSU’s signing class is the nation’s top JUCO offensive tackle, Badara Traore of ASA College in New York. We’ll talk more about LSU’s recruiting class and potential targets for filling it in a subsequent report.

Perhaps recruiting has "dropped" because it's a down year in the state.
This mostly.

Recruiting also is far from over this year.
Also this, we have some huge fish out there we are favorites or among the top school for. I'd say at least half of who we finish with will be at least a 4-star, some Top 100 overall.

I don't know exactly how much impact he had in recruiting, but I do know that literally every unit of the team he touched with his actual coaching turned completely to shite almost immediately after he got involved in it. There are probably lots of car salesmen who could talk a high school kid into just about anything including signing a LOI with LSU, but I don't think they should be on the coaching staff.

He was a shitty special teams coach;
Name 3 5 star recruits he brought to LSU (this is a trick question);
After watching him "work" with the LBs the first official act of Arranda's LSU career was to fire him and get him away from the program;
Les thought he was a great coach; and
He made more money that Corey Raymond, a guy that can actually coach and recruit elite talent.

This latest recruiting class may not be the highest rated by the recruiting sites which are for fans as opposed to coaches, but nevertheless it is one of the best in recent history.

You mean our two 3* OL and one 3* RB commit? Program changing for sure.

Oh are you a talent evaluator now?

Looking Back : BDP
So nearly a year ago, we fired BDP and did not fill the ST spot. Kickoffs have slightly improved, but does that offset the decline in recruiting without him? BBQ jokes aside, recruiting does seem to have seen a dip this year, something that was supposed to be Coach O's forte. Do you think it was worth it in the end?
