Or say grace before meals, or take my cap off for the National Anthem, or let old ladies in front of me in the line at Wal-Mart, or give to Jerry's kids.
So there.

If JJ played after cliff diving on a dude's face, then Hill will play, unless jail time.

Not necessarily true. The first incident was just a situation where unfortunately young kids will make. Not saying that it was right to do in any circumstances. Young kids do stupid stuff like that. Unfortunately he was an 18 year old with a 14 year old.

Sorry, can't buy that. !4 years old versus a big strong 18 yo athlete. That wasn't an indiscretion. It was far worse.

No, he got a second chance and he shows that he is still a bad egg.

People who try to justify this shite are surrogate whores. They sell out on their values because of their fear of it damaging a football program.

We can be disappointed that we lose a star athlete but it has to be balanced by a sense of what is right.

Just because LSU athletes (or athletes in general) have fought in the past or some really obnoxious, overly aggressive, belligerent students like to start fights (as the norm) doesn't excuse the behavior. You don't have to fight. You don't have to be a jerk.

Didn't your mothers and fathers teach you any values?

Hill gets in front of him. In fact from his left and punches the guy with his right. So he's in front. Yes yes I know he didn't make sure the guy was ready.

Glad to see that one day later we are still nit-picking over the textbook definition of a sucker-punch.

How about this...from 0:00 to 0:07 on the video, Hill had the chance to walk away from the guy, go to his car, and get the frick out without ending up in jail. They were separated easily by 20-30 feet, and that dude was no threat to Hill. Instead, dumbfrick takes a running start at the guy and tries to clobber him. So explain to me why we care whether it was a "sucker punch" or not?

He'll just tell you it was the guy's fault that he wasn't expecting somebody from across the parking lot to run up behind him and try to knock him out. I've asked Jay to say what he thinks the punishment should be, but he keeps deflecting and keeps saying all the blame is on the guy who got punched.

This.

I was thinking about this very thing this morning. JJ played the first game (in a back up role) after getting reinstated when the EBR Grand Jury only returned a misdemeanor indictment on JJ instead of a felony.
The bar fight is history and after Aug 16th JH33 will have no further court proceedings if his probation is not revoked. Based on this I would say he is reinstated and plays Aug 31 as a non starter if probation not revoked. JMHO

I take it you have never witnessed or participated in a bar fight. Combatants are normally ready to kill each other and have to be restrained even after one is on the ground and/or knocked out if it gets that far without others jumping in... Emotion takes over reason. I never saw a bar fight that had an ounce of reason involved...

What makes you think Hill and this dude were involved in any altercation at any time before the camera started rolling?

Look how far apart they are. How do 2 or more people get THAT separated in a bar fight unless the fight was over or there was no fight between the 2?

The only "bar fight" I see is between the guy who's on the ground at the beginning at the two guys in front of him.

Going by the ridiculous comments made by many in this thread, they think a bar fight has a ref who takes points away for low blows.

Hitting someone from the side is no fricking big deal and expecting guys to square up is hilarious.

If no stools, rocks, knives, or bottles are used against you, you are fricking lucky.

It's not the norm, but I have - on a few occasions.

One time this belligerent a-hole kept fricking with what looked like a normal 6'1 white dude. Dude kept telling him to chill the frick out, then a-hole lunges a punch at him. Normal dude roundhouse kicks the assholes jaw square and he falls to the ground. Afterwards, all he told the a-hole was to stay down and calm down.

I've been witness to and part of many fights, but that was simply awesome. Chuck Norris shite. He wasn't looking for any trouble.

Like I've been saying if you don't know ask. These guys keep acting like they can dissect the situation never having been in it.

If I was the big dude I'd be embarrassed this is going on. You get in one of these you get what you get

Ok so if I go to Tigerland this fall and I see 2 guys and this 1 other guy fighting a pretty far distance from me, it's fair game for me to run ACROSS the parking lot and deck the staggering dude who just got up on the side of the face?

Do you clowns even hear yourselves right now?

there are people in this thread that have it in their minds that a bar fight is one on one, squared up facing each other.

when that is maybe .0000001% of bar fights that i've seen

usually it's several people on one, wrestling on the ground, kicking etc.
