- We overachieved last year. We snuck out of a lot of games that we shouldn’t have won based on opposing teams flat out playing worse.

- Our DB’s we’re the number one issue anyone with a pulse had going into the season, combine this with the fact our D-line has been underwhelming, it’s not surprising a team like Ole Miss was going to destroy us.

- In a little bit of fairness, the fact the offense typically scores so quickly hasn’t helped the last couple of games. Our TOP hasn’t been great, but I don’t think anyone will complain about scoring.

- Kelly is a smart coach. We aren’t dealing with Ed O here. House by all means was a great DC hire. I can assume Kelly gave him the autonomy to hire his assistants. Those have not been the best IMO.

- Recruiting wise, I think we are focusing on the defensive backfield. As long as it stands as of now, there is some talent coming in, and we have some guys with talent here. I just think they need to be developed better.

- The biggest issue I have at this point is the lack of PT for freshman and young guys that are gonna have to step up next year. Womack, weeks, etc should be seeing ALOT of snaps.

- This will be fixed this off season. We will not face another offense as good as Ole Miss the rest of the season. As long as we can continue to produce on Offense, hopefully we can develop a little more on D.

You sure about that?

So your idea of “touching grass” is to hurry up and get to the off-season so people can ignorantly overhype the team again?

As sure as you are that it won’t?

What facts support this statement?
Who is he?
Where did he come from?
What has he accomplished?

Serious questions.

You can look it up I’m not going to detail his job past, he had very good defenses at Kentucky.

I’m just looking at what’s been happening week to week.

So, pretty sure. What makes you sure?

He gave up 30ppg to P5 teams last season and that includes Purdues scout team and Arkansas’ 3rd string QB. He’s giving up 36.5 to P5 opponents this season and 25.7 ppg more to coaches who’ve faced him previously. He just isn’t going to work out here.

No my idea of touching grass is to understand this is the reality, and it’s bad, but the program isn’t falling apart like some people believe. We have players that haven’t lived up to expectations, and we have coaches that haven’t either. I don’t think anyone was overhyping the defense. I thought that the D-line would be more effective, but our d-line coach had a medical emergency right before season, so what do you do? Fire Kelly?

I mean there is zero point to firing him right now? He more than likely will be forced out and go back to the NFL because he doesn’t love recruiting.

I mean he gave up 10 points to Arkansas so including them proves zero point the the 30 ppg. The Purdue game was never even close and wasn’t a serious game either.

You’re right the program isn’t falling apart and anyone saying fire Kelly is crazy. We do need to change DCs though, House can’t do this job.

I agree 100 percent. My point is that there was zero indication he was going to digress as a coordinator. By all means the defense improved as the season went on in most cases. We just weren’t a consistent team all over last year.

Offense has to be able to play defense by running the ball and controlling T.O.P. All gas and no brakes is a stupid mindset when your defense is as sturdy as wet Charmin. Scoring fast and often doesn't help when the other team can do it too.

Yes it does. It proves that although he was bad overall he got two breaks vs dilapidated offenses and his ppg against avg was really higher vs teams with a pulse which is what we’re seeing now.

Yes. I just don’t think he was bad enough last year to warrant thinking about making a change. It absolutely has to happen after this year.

Dude, I don't care how bad you expected the defense to be, you should never accept a performance like they put together on Saturday. It's not an overreaction to say that display was unacceptable.

I don't necessarily agree with this. We're going to face a few teams with better talent than Ole Miss. So who knows if they'll be clicking better by the time we get to them. For example, a&m.

Talent doesn’t equate to production. Ole Miss has been on par with us as far as offensive success this season. So if you think our offense is great, so is theirs.

No it wasn’t but there were signs and when he started moving out most talented players out of position people should’ve been skeptical.
