And just how would you propose us doing that, staying drunk and passed out?

Humility is for the actual player to have. Harris seems to be humble now and hope he remains that way after winning a Heisman.

The word Fan, is short for the word fanatic. (Fan - noun = An ardent devotee; an enthusiast).

As Fans, or if you will, Fanatics, we can be as ridiculous as we want and with that... Bring on the early campaign of Harris for Heisman!!!

I think everyone will expect Harris to take his lumps in SEC play and forgive him for it. First, because they know what the alternative is.

Seems fair

I was giving Jennings the benefit of the doubt. But my benenfit left after the second int., against an outmanned defense Sat. night. Harris hopefully is the deal. He sure looks and acts like it on the field.

Harris is nothing like Lee or JJ. He has better arm strength, a quicker release, better accuracy, pocket presence, a leader and is more athletic. It will remain to be seen how he can handle it mentally.

I would rather take our lumps with Harris now than watch AJ stink it up. If he is ever gonna be a starting QB here he needs more time to grow in the system.

This will bring it down a notch: Harris's completion percentage as a senior in HS was only 50%. This seems to defy logic given his recent passing performances: 74%.

Well he's not in highschool anymore. I only saw 2 bad throws all night. I don't care who you play you still have to deliver the ball accurately. The play were he got rocked was right on the money. Not many QBs make that throw with pressure in their face on any level.

I'm on the the Harris band wagon, too, but this little bit of information gave me pause.

I can deal with the occasional high throw, even if it's intercepted, as long as 80 to 90 percent are on target. Have to figure in drops and pass breakups.

Bring it down a notch in your brain and wrestle with your own logic. He has trained and diligently engaged experts in the field on what he can do better. He rooms with LF and shares a birthday with MD "the Trio that came to take the SEC". They don't care what you think. They think they are destined for success and out to prove it.

Development: He has soared in talent under Cam and Whitfield and you want to look at his HS stats completion %? What exactly does that tell you. He was an extraordinary HS QB and 2-3 in the nation.

He has a better OL and better backs and receivers. He is throwing to 8 people in 2 qtrs, even fullbacks. The team responds to him and he raises their level of play and expectations.

You can bring it down a notch for yourself and tamp down your expectations. Jennings has the LOWEST passer rating and QBR in the SEC except for Vandy. He went 1 for seven with 3 three and outs, 2 INTs and a fumble and Miles left him in, even after he downward spiraled the whole game against a cellar dweller SEC team we should have and could have beaten. It ran 70,000 fans out of the stadium and I am sure it really impressed the recruits.

Harris is the best the class, per Whitfield, and as good as he has seen. If you are not impressed with his extraordinary talent then your eyes deceive you.

Hey, I said I was on the Harris band wagon, too. He appears to be lightning in a bottle....but just maybe, just maybe, he's been on a high and will come down to just being a great QB. Either way, he's the better option at QB.

Although I agree with the OP, if Harris struggles, he will catch crap on here. It is just the nature of the rant. The sane ones will get it...the rest will not.

In 2008, same situation happened. Our QB was struggling and we put in the more athletic true freshmen who all the fans really wanted to play. We hyped him up incredibly and let's just say this worked out just fine. The situation was without any controversy for the rest of their careers.

No. Our QB was injured, and we put in the true freshman because we had no choice. He played good enough those last few games, and really well in 2009. The only way this could be the same if Jennings had gotten knocked out of the game, Harris had a good year starting, and then declined.

The only time in Miles tenure, that a QB was pulled for bad performance and his backup started, was in 2011.

For the revisionists who say JJ sucked in 09, he finished the year with 2200 pass yards and 17 TDs with and additional 170 on the ground and a TD, in only 11 and a half games. He was the #2 QB in the country in the redzone, and he did this while having the worst LSU OL of this century, and a run game that wasn't even as good as Jeremy Hill by himself in 2013.

How you guys come out with stats like this on a whim is impressive! I wonder if there are those that check these numbers.

My brother in law told me to chill on Harris because he being a U-fan provided about 5 examples of the next great thing coming off the bench only to be humbled in hostile environments.

We'll see

I think Harris is special...if he gets comfortable on Saturday, look out
