This is the absolute greatest post I have ever read on tigerdroppings. You have to compare Miles to Saban because, unfortunately for him, literally NO ONE else is on his level (or vice versa, whatever) when it comes to results. For whatever reason, multiple championships I suppose , Saban is seen as perfect. When we backed into the BCS in 07, it was because Miles is the luckiest sob ever. When they back into the championship last year, over a more deserving OSU imo, no said anything about it. When they lose again at home to a team we shut down on the road and somehow find themselves with a chance to go to the BCS no one bats an eyelash. When speaking from a national perspective Alabama is considered the defense, better than ours if only by a hair. That would mean to me in their losses, poor offensive performance must have led to their downfall. 2010 Auburn they led by 20 before going scoreless in the 2nd half and losing by one. I know no one here has forgotten that they scored 6 (six!!!) points in an entire game last year. This year vs TAMU he called 3 straight passes inside the 5 and then, proving his teams lack of discipline, they were called for offsides on a pivotal 4th down play when they were about to get the ball back.

THIS THREAD IS frickING STUPID. You can go through the list of LOSSES for ANY coach and it will be bad. LOSSES are bad. Pretty much by definition. The biggest difference between Miles' list and every other coaches' aside from Saban is their are LESS losses. He wins at a higher rate than pretty much everyone in the country and does it in the toughest division of the toughest conference in the country without dodging the best teams from the East. The other difference will be that BY FAR most of his losses have come to highly ranked opponents. Like top 10 highly ranked. Losing close games to top 10-15 teams is NOTHING to be ashamed of, and he WINS more of those than he loses. Seriously, how are so many of you blinded by your hate for the way the guy talks or claps that you cannot appreciate the level of winning we are experiencing??? I know, I know, our offense is boring blah blah blah. We had shitty QB play for 4 years that seriously limited what we could run on offense, and we won 41 games in that stretch. This year, the OL WRs limited a new QBs development. That should be pretty clear to anyone with any understanding of football. Oh yeah, and OP, Arkansas was not unranked in 2010 you fricking idiot. They were in the BCS so get your dumbass facts straight before posting anymore dumbass threads

And this

The ironic thing is that Saban has accepted his flaws and acted on fixing them (opening up the offense), whereas Miles has just dug in his heels

Have not read the whole thread, but...

Reverse the OL troubles at LSU during those years and especially this year, and you will find the answers you are looking for. Even during the JL and JJ years, the OL was not good enough to give them an time, and bad habits resulted.

Our OL recruits and returning players WILL change all of this. As we wear people out and demoralize them, the Miles philosophy will usually prevail.

Tenn 05- No mention of the circumstances surrounding this game against a top 10 team at the time huh chief? Just another routine Saturday in.....oh wait

Auburn 06- 4 point road loss to top 5 team where we were underdog and refs absolutely fricked us. No big deal.

Florida 06- Road loss to national champ where our #1 NFL draft pick QB went INT crazy and Tebow made his SEC debut in spot situations.

Kentucky 07- 3 OT road loss to very good Wildcat team with Andre Woodson at QB the week after the biggest regular season win in LSU history. Yes, Scott should have gotten carries in the second half.

Arkansas 2007- 3 OT loss in what was already announced as Nutt's last game, 3 NFL studs have the game of their lives against the #1 team in the country. Great game that we can't put away on a 4th and 10 in OT.

2008- No, 5 losses isn't "Nuff said." 4 of the losses came to top 10 teams including national champ in which LSU was the UNDERDOG. Took Saban's #2 Tide to OT. Last second road loss to Arkansas in JJs first game as starter.

2009- 2 losses to top 2 teams. Both close games when we were big underdogs. OM game sucked, granted, but it was a road loss to a top 10 preseason team. About as close a game that has ever been played in CFB. Loses his first bowl game to a 10 win Penn State team by less than a TD. Oh, the shame

2010- 2 close roaf losses to national champ and BCS Sugar Bowl rep as UNDERDOGS. Nevermind that we beat Florida on the road and Bama with JJ breaking off a 75 yard TD in Saban's defensive backfield as UNDERDOGS. Yeah, UT was a mess, but we WON.

2011- The best season in LSU history. Period. 13-0 against the toughest schedule we've ever played, and only 1 win by less than double digits. Beat #2 Saban ON THE ROAD as underdogs. Saban gets unprecedented rematch and we can't do it twice in 2 months. Oh, more shame

2012- 3 losses to top 10-15 teams including the probable national champ AGAIN. By a TOTAL of 13 points. Wins over top 10 SC, and top 5 finisher A&M with Hisman winner on the road.

SO

MUCH

SHAME

Please kill yourself OP and all the X Box Madden champs who agreed with him in this thread.

I can't really argue any of the losses from 05-07, due to hurricane Katrina and Rita, losing two tough road games where we had questionable calls by the refs and then dropping two games in triple OT. Two 11-2 seasons and then a 12-2 season with a natty. Since then it is another story.

What the frick does this mean? So we shouldn't have lost to a very good UF, UGA, Bama teams in 2008? How about 2009, where we were robbed of a chance to win in T-Town due to the (non)INT? Or 2010 where we lost the eventual champion in Auburn, while giving them a very good game? Or last year when we lost to a team we beat in their stadium earlier in the year in the greatest screw job ever? You question all that?

So now, in order to diss LSU, you are going to look at Miles' work at OSU?

Are you shitting me? You are a fricking loser at life. Seriously.

When you suck Saban's cock, do you look at his work at Michigan State? After all, he did lose to Dinardo...

God you people are pathetic. But entertaining!

Fla ’06 – Poor offensive output. LSU only scored 10 points in a year where they averaged 34. This is the year of the fabled jump pass, which still haunts Les to this day

As far as I read.

Anyone using this game as anything other than showing how even talented college players can mess up bad is only showing a lack of college football common sense. imo

with that logic, you would take miles over saban.

even though saban is playing in 3 out of 4 BCSNCG, and more then likely win his 4th NCG.

WHAT A DUMBASS.

Then what happened vs aTm this year for Bama? I mean according to you Saban has fixed any possible thing wrong with his team, so howd they lose at home tons team we beat on the road? And while we're at it, how did Bama lose to us at home last year?

Where in his post did he say any coach should be perfect and win evey game??

Well, isn't that what was expected of the LSU coach just last season?

You would have thought it was the end of the freaking world cause we didn't have a "perfect" yr.
