She's been instrumental for this program from being SEC Freshman of the Year to coming back strong after she sat out a year due to injury and being a solid leader for LSU WBB the last two seasons. Much of the success of this team this season is due to her, her play and her leadership.
Should be a good game verse Bama, too, at home in the PMAC.

She is a good player and represents us well. Wish we had more like her. I think the game Thursday is a microcosm of the program under Nikki. She is a good coach, and we hung in there even though we were totally overmatched overall in talent.

Is the LSU wbb team doing good or bad this season? What kind of attendance do they get at home?

Yes, IMHO the are overachieving relative to their talent and are 10-5 in conference I think, and solidly in the NCAA tournament.

I have no idea.

We got a much better class with the current freshmen this year, who are going to be great in the next couple of years. I think with Micki DeMoss, we're going to continue to get better talent each year, especially if we keep being relatively successful, and it'll only get better each year. The two years plagued with multiple injuries and then Daniel Ballard suspensions didn't help are recruiting, which already started to dive following Van Chancellor. Mickie DeMoss is known for recruiting and I think the right fixes are already being made.

They're doing pretty well this season. Back in the AP top 25 poll and having 4 victories over other ranked opponents (3 of which were in the Top 15 when played), especially given that all of the contributing players are still pretty young and have 2+ years of eligibility remaining except the one senior, Raigyne Louis. They have lost a couple of games they could have won, especially earlier in the year, but that type of inconsistency can be attributed to their youth. The past month, they've been much more solid, the close SC loss Thursday notwithstanding (missed a bunch of easy layups and shots they normally make, but can also attribute that to Wilson for SC frustrating them).

Attendance at home games have generally been around 2,000-2,500 I believe, with the most being the Tennessee game which was close to 4500 I think.

I've heard mixed reviews in that regard, but I hope you are correct.

I hope this comes to pass as well, because I've always thought watching us play under Nikki that she can coach. To me it was obvious. It was just we were so overmatched most of the time it wasn't enough.

Overall, it's one of the best classes we've had in a while. Not perfect, and definitely can get some even more talented players in the next few years, but they're solid and already showing a lot of growth in one season. Heck, talent doesn't always guarantee anything, look at Tennessee, whom we beat, though they're stack with All Americans.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'll certainly change my position if, over the next two seasons, I don't see the improvement I predict will happen. However, so far this season is going about how I expected last April (even if many people are acting surprised and thinking they're overachieving expectations).

What’s so great about this freshman class? Cherry and Patterson can’t even find the court!! Farley doesn’t impress me at all! How was she a AA coming out of high school? Pointer can’t buy a basket, nice handles!
