Makes no sense to me. I would be pissed if I were Russell. Maybe they got a plan for him and Kragthorpe will utilize his talent. I think Crowton didn't know what to do with all the talent at LSU.

How old are some of you people? Do you even follow the program?

RUSSELL SHEPARD CHOSE TO SWITCH TO WR.

How some of you cannot understand this concept is beyond me. Pure stupidity on this board.

And his passing stats were not all that. Rueban Randle was a better high school QB, so was Spencer Ware, and so is T Magee.

He's still very young and needs time to learn the speed of college football. I expect a big year next year from him

he's overrated.

can't catch very well.
obviously, you've never seen him throw a pass or you wouldn't be lobbying for him to play q.b.

you should be banned forever with this comment. Go look at RS high school video. One of the greatest ever. Video and stats don't lie

Russell Shepard doesn't need to be our new QB. I wouldn't be saying that if we weren't getting Mett., but obviously I'm not going to say he is near the passer Mett. is. He definately needs to get the ball more and he will with a new OC. I would dare to say he and Ford will be the breakout players offensively next year with the obvious Randle. Im putting the link to Shepard's 2009 SEC highlights again. LINK

Shep would be utilized best as a Wing back type player, in a Trindon Holliday type role. Use his speed off the edge and quickness to his advantage, he's not physical enough to play WR. But him not playing does nothing to potential recruits.
