Les to hold 'special meeting' with players this afternoon

This was expected. He said as much in his press conference after the game. They asked why now (?) and he said "you guys have been talking about it and mentioned Monday, so I figured why not then". This is just to address the rumors. I don't expect anything to come out of the meeting.

I wouldn't read to much into this meeting. I'm sure he is just going to tell the players not to pay any attention to media/social media regarding his job status and not get caught up in "winning it for Les", but just to focus on their assignments and execution.

"I'm still the coach, and all the assistance are still coaching. The plan is to remain coaching, so we need your full effort for the A&M game. Treat it as a normal week"

It's been a wonderful ride but due to health concerns I am stepping down as head coach. All I ask is for my last ever home game to go out and kick some butt and have the want to beat a quality team.

They should be more concerned with how bad they've been playing. Maybe look in the mirror and take some responsibility for getting their coach RUNNOFT.
