Gundy getting OSU to 3 something Les never did and is bigger than Les getting LSU to 1 again.

There is 300 million things that have changed at OSU since miles left.

I would have went with Bill Snyder at K-State. IMO he did the best job in the country given the talent he had. Hell, there is even an argument for Ole Ball Coach with kicking his starting QB off the team and losing the best RB in the Conference and still won 10 games. LSU was expected to be good - win 11-12 games by some.

That's right--Les doesn't care about awards, he just wants to win. He knows football is a team game & we all hope he can outcoach Saban again, like he did the first time.

Everyone is Jealous of LSU and if they can get away with it they will do just about anything to turn the other direction.

Coach of the Year should have been Les Miles. Undefeated , #1 , the toughest Schedule,The SEC Champions, playing for the BCS Championship. Done it with distractions, suspended players, done with multiple QBs and RBs, has the toughest Defense in the Nation.

To me the Coach of the Year Award would be the only award that would matter to me. All the others award is worthless.

Doug Gotlieb had an interesting take on it today.

He said it was kind of a slam to the Oklahoma State football program to give it to Gundy, since this was a team that was in the top 10 all last year and this year they finished about where they were expected to end up. To give him the award was akin to saying Oklahoma State had such a monstrous season in terms of where they usually are.

He made a great point.

He deserves it. LSU has a great amount of tradition. Oklahoma State doesn't and it is their first conference championship in decades.

That's BS. Yes I favor the Tigers but I'm honest enough to call it no matter what the situation.

No matter what OS did LSU played a tougher schedule and didn't fold under ANY team. Other considerations Miles still wins. Crap politics in the decision.

Miles is Coach of the Year in many eyes. Of course there are those in the media that can't wrap there feelings around Miles, so screw em'.

I doubt CLM feels "robbed" although he did do a hell of a job with this team this year--not only taking them to an undefeated season, but dealing with a LOT of suspensions, off-the-field distractions, media requests, immature players, and ungrateful fans! This is yet another subjective award that means little when compared to the ultimate prize of the National Championship--which will be decided on the field by the final score, whether Bama fans like it that way or not!! Thanks Coach!! You're OUR Coach of the Year!!

COY awards usually go to coaches who achieve more than was expected of them.

Mike Gundy did just that. Les Miles was expected to have a top 5 team. That alone almost doomed him for this award from the start.
