You go back and look at even those Oklahoma teams and I am sure their fans could spin it same way as LSU fans can. That 1 or 2 plays, or 1 or 2 coaching decisions changed the complexion of the season.

Les has made his mistakes (as have all coaches since no coach is perfect) but LSU fans (like fans all across the country who are passionate about their team) seem to take it to the next level. Maybe it is the alcohol, being a coonass/redneck part, or maybe it is the minority of idiot LSU fans.

LSU fans should hold Les and the team in a higher standard than normal, we should all want 14-0, but we have to understand that isn't always reasonable. You could say LSU should have beaten Alabama this year, well last year you could have said Alabama should have won. Scoreboard doesn't always tell the story of a game.

Now this is as well as it has been put on this board.

I'd rather pump sunshine than be an insufferable miserable douche that will never be content with the LSU football program.

No such thing as a "pumper" you just need perspective. LSU isn't going to go undefeated every season, Les will make some bad decisions, teams will occasionally be better.

Les and LSU has won a few games they probably should not have as the other team out played them but because of the other coaches decisions LSU won.

They ave two sides to every coin and a lot of fans on this board only wanna see one side. Les is flawed but name me 1 coach that is not flawed in CFB.

So if he doesn't win anther BCSNC before his contract is up but wins 9-10 games a year, you will be happy? And the ten wins most are barely won against teams with Considerable less talent.

Ecstatic, no. Happy yes. But considering we win 10 or more most years with Miles, this us an unlikely scenario.

Considering the conference we play in, this is simply not the case. Sorry that doesn't jive with your view though.

Yes and No.... Do I want a National Championship, Yes. SO I would be disappointed we haven't won one. However, Stoops has put his team in position to win more and be in the hunt which is all you can ask for. Once he got there the other team just happened to be better.
However I will be happy we haven't hit the bottom of the barrel as well. That 10+ wins a season isn't mediocrity it is above avg (7/8 wins would be mediocre)

LSU is a long way from Hallman days, it has established itself among the nations elite teams in the nations elite conference. LSU has the staying power to remain a top team in the nation which is what we all want. Do you want to be a flash in the pan like Auburn, USC, even Florida who won 2 then suffered through some mediocre years itself before coming back?

LSU has played in 2 National Championship games in the past 8 years, outside of Alabama and Florida who can make that claim? Ohio State who lose both of their games.... No other team or coach can make this claim which puts Les in a small company of coaches

Neither are on the hot seat. Both are under fire at times for their coordinators, and rightly so. LSU can't fix the offense, OU can't fix the defense.

Because both HC want to have input and they need to hand over the reigns to someone more capable.

Exactly what the pumpers are.

Define content. Pumpers are miserable everyone isn't accepting of the present team regardless of what happens on the field simply because Miles has won a championship in a year that was a fluke for them to even get there.

Haha! Now that's just funny. Now the miserable "miles is a complete moron" crowd is saying that the nc was a fluke. Sure we needed help to get there, but to call it a fluke especially after how we whooped osu, is just stupid. I bet you're not saying that bama getting to the nc is a fluke this year, although they had to depend on 2 unlikely losses by k state and Oregon. Miles won a nc and had us playing in another last year. Does he make boneheaded calls from time to time that drive me crazy? Absolutely. But to be happy with our coaches overall record in wins and recruiting, does not make one unreasonable. It makes one realistic and it's ok to be proud of our teams success, and the culture of success that miles has continued.

You're right Roger, all the Miles bashing is definitely less annoying then celebrating the greatest run in LSU history.

Saban certainly didn't get an unprecedented fluke last year Not to mention Saban's fluke in '03 for us to go over USC (Or at the very least to avoid playing USC). Flukes happen for just about every champion, so take that crap elsewhere. Who deserved it over us in 07?

I would accept that performance form our coach and team. Miles is here for at least 2 more years so lets get behind the team and coaches and support them.

You can't even talk anymore on this board without getting jumped by a "pumper." It's ridiculous.

Some people don't have their heads in the sand, or in the sky. You can see things for how they really are without hating or worshiping the coach.

Criticizing the offense isn't non support of the team or coach.

Damn that Chavis and his prevent LSU from beating Alabama defense and his total frick-up against Clemson in the last 15 minutes..

Two games we had won if he don't frick them up.

Defense will be down next year. The offense has to improve or it will be a really poor season.
