Bullshite. LSU had zero enthusiasm in that game, didn’t want to be in that bowl, and played down to Clemson.

We ran out of DE’s that game..I believe our main 3 were healthy all year and then all 3 got injured and once that happened Boyd’s zone read killed us. Mingo was blowing that shite up big time in the backfield before he went down. Sonic Sam, Mingo, & Chancy we the 3 DE

Fumbles are what killed us in that game...

I totally agree that Clemson beating LSU then put them on the map, but Clemson losing to LSU in 2020 ended their streak.

I'd feel a lot better about this game if we had a Week 0 game.

Who was Clemson's QB that year? I forgot. I remember him throwing out of his mind in that game. Seemed like LSU lived in the backfield in that game and that guy was making all kinds of miracle throws under pressure.

IIRC correctly Mingo absolutely wrecked somebody in the backfield on one of their opening drives and I basically thought our team was just better than them.

Oops.

can't remember exactly, but I think it was 4th and 5? With the way Mett was slinging it that night, you 100% go for it there. In today's football driven by analytics, there wouldn't even be the thought of kicking. It was a 45-yard field goal attempt that would have only put you up 6 points. Made zero sense to kick, especially when you had an average kicker at best.

Agreed. Mett was on fire and to not let him win the game was bad coaching.
