YOU RECRUIT THE BEST PLAYERS, plain and simple.
So you do this whether they are not even close to qualifying?
Some of you guys really have no clue.

When did I say anything to that effect?
You didn't, it wasn't directed to you in general......my apologies for it being in response to you........
The point still stands though..........This is a deliberate attack on Les Miles the recruiter from a national website........Saban has done this like last 4 years......no one is questioning his integrity.
Les Miles should be applauded for finding 28 character guys who indeed did qualify.......it is ashame though that he didn't have 2 extra spots in the end........
Tis the life of any major business.......It's a hard lesson for an 18 year old to learn but hey thats life....

I am not downing Miles at all. He's doing what his competitors do. It's to be expected.
I said the article should focus on the NCAA for allowing this loophole not calling out Miles. If you actually had reading comprehension skills, you may have understood that.
Again, I think oversigning should be made completely against the rules. Limit it to 25, and this type of shite won't happen anywhere. I've felt that way before this Porter fiasco happened.

Yes.......you have no clue.........take Eddie Lacy for example.........Saban gave him a LOI and magically the kid worked his butt off and got qualified when he knew what was at stake........
Sometimes a simple "free ride" and a "come to light" moment is all a 17 or 18 year old kid needs to work hard and qualify.........
You my friend don't live in reality.......reality is that you go for the best of the best and work out the details from there.........FACT

I never intended to respond to you for that sir......I understood what you said..........
I also think you are naive to recruit only those who are already qualified.........thats the point of my statements toward you not Les Miles.

Oh I very much live in reality. Point was that you can take risks on the talented guys that are risks, but if you are going to take risks on 7-9 players that's on you.
I think limit it to 25 and then if you take 3-4 risks, you still get 21-22 signees if they don't make it.
Assuming you have no RS SRs (which you will always have), you'll have 84-88 scholarhip players over 4 years. All it would do is make you focus your recruiting better and do a better job of not taking ridiculous projects or players that have no business being on the team.

My reading comprehension and my reading between the line comprehension skills are just fine.
So my having a problem with the system, means I am trying to "between the lines" take a knock on Miles? Yup, that's it. If anything I defended him not being a problem here and blamed the system that allows for this to be a possibility.

There is no doubt that you make a valid argument in regards to signing players but that currently isn't the case so you go after the best.

SEC coaching is a bed of snakes. If you try to take the high moral ground your going to find yourself on the losing end to snakes like meyer and saban who are setting the standard when it comes to sleaziness. It has become a cutthroat business in recent years and you need to play the game or find yourself looking for a new job.

And that is my point. It's the system that allows this BS, and coaches are forced to do it to keep up. I don't like that Miles did it, but he's not a douche like Saban that does it consistently. Sadly though, it only takes one instance like this to be used against Miles in recruiting which couldn't have been used before.
I say fix the system and things will change. Otherwise, some kids will continue to get screwed over, because coaches have no choice.

LM needs to win some damn good football games...

unbelievable hatchet piece. miles has oversigned a total of 3 players these last 3 years, yet they include his photo and multiple paragraphs full of inaccuracies. saban gets a relative slap on the wrist, despite oversigning by 13 these last 3 years. even nutt, probably the worst of all "oversigning" coaches, gets off easier than miles.

Dude, Chill. I think he posted it sarcastically and pretty much everyone on here agreed.

Are you just making these numbers up? When has Miles oversigned by that many?

I'd appreciate it if you no longer reply to a post I make, then refer to "negative crap you whiney as douches dwell on constantly". Find one on me...

Didn't they say this year he took 7 players that we didn't know would for certain qualify? It wasn't in reference to over-signing by 7-9.
I was also using that as to mean college coaches in general, Choctaw. Get the sand out of your vag. You are not needed as a Miles E-Knight in this instance.
