But he also underachieved, relative to the elite talent he brought in, particularly his last 3+ years, and the offensive woes were hard to stomach.
So he did some great things here, but a lot of us feel a lot of opportunities were wasted.
That's what sticks in our craw.
Who here has said Miles didn’t underachieve, particularly the last few years?
That’s kind of why he was fired

nothing supports this except your proven football ignorant opinion.
I suppose you are a football wizard.
I contend Miles won because of talent, you seem to think it is his coaching (meaning X's and O's, strategy, game plan).
We both know KU is not loaded with talent.
When he falls on his face at KU maybe you will see.

holy shite.....

He has already done something that Kansas couldnt do in 10 years by beating a p5 program on the road(he was 20 point dog).
he already went to a program with 1 .500 or better season in a decade and had them winning 7,8,9 games.
he already has the most accomplished tenure ever at a top 15 all time program
your opinionis meaningless stacked up against those FACTS

why is stating objective facts about a former LSU coach considered sucking his dick?

yes I use facts to back up my stances

oh no... some dumb bitch on the rant thinks I should be embarrassed because my stance on Les Miles is formed by facts and stats.

right because I start all these pro miles threads. its amazing that you dont have a problem with the same posters doing nothing but shitting on LSU's most accomplished coach but you're running your little dick sucker when someone posts FACTS and Stats about a former lsu coach.

You’re in every Got damn thread white knighting for Les you pathetic loser
Posted on 9/26/19 at 3:09 pm to DCtiger1
Here is one of your dumbass posts.....
in what universe is the same win loss numbers that you're touting for O running the program into the ground?
2014 5 losses
2015 3 losses
equals running into the ground
2017- 4 losses( 2nd most nfl draft picks in cfb )
2018 - 3 losses
equals has the team rolling
rank hypocrisy

exactly. Ed O has this team rolling and lord knows what people think of his coaching prowess here. Les almost drove this program into the ground. We could have ended up like Tennessee or Arkansas ...

stating facts isnt knighting you dumbass. it's called reality.
am I knighting for the sun when I say the earth revolves around the sun?
am I knighting for Tuesday when I say Wednesday follows Tuesday?
and it's very telling that you dont have problem with the same posters in every thread shitting on Miles. to you that's just fine because it supports your dumbass opinion

Hold on here. This is far from a legitimate criticism. Kansas is historically weak program, and one of the worst programs of the last 40 years. They have a grand total of 7 top 25 finishes in more than 120 years of football. They have played in 12 bowl games.
OOC losses to group of 5 programs are not uncommon there. The talent level at Kansas is closer to a lower end group of 5 than a power 5 school.
Remember Nick Saban lost to UAB at LSU and ULM at Alabama, yet no sane person would argue against the greatness of Saban.
When it comes to resources (even though I did not look it up) I would guess KU has much more than CC.
I would think it could be much closer in Baseball. However, with that being said KU may put the bulk of those resources into Basketball.
I don't know how they divide it up?
I get your point and I give you that. The problem is people like Rick wants to pound their chest about how good Les is and act like LSU was KU and he was the sole reason LSU was any good over those years.
Forget about Saban being here before him, forget about the talent base La has, forget about no other school in the state can compete for said talent, forget about the resources LSU has for football.
Well, now it is time to put up or shut up. Miles is at KU and if he is the end all be all he needs to build this program back to when they won 8-12 games a year.
Make no mistake it has been done there before. Not often, not in the last 10 years, but it has been done.

yes I too am glad Miles is gone. at no point have I said I wish he were here still. but the fact remains..... no tenure in the history of lsu football surpasses his. I'm sorry that FACT makes your vagina bleed all over the board. you dont have a problem with the same posters doing nothing but shite on miles with their OPINIONS yet you have a problem with someone actually posting FACTS because it doesnt support your bullshite opinion.
grow up little man.

Les Miles sucks
the laughable part is Miles is better at being a cfb coach than you are at anything in life. let that sink in.
maybe you should learn that not everyone will agree with your opinions.
maybe you should learn the difference between defending and posting facts.

I have never once said Miles was the sole reason for lsu success.
IN THIS THREAD I said Miles COULD NOT have done what saban did at lsu.

he already did this at a bad program once. not doing it at Kansas in no way erases his past accomplishments.
Kansas has won 8 or more games 5 times since 1969.
just stop.

I'm sure it doesn't to you. you clearly have the iq of shoe string.
miles is a better cfb HC than you are at anything you do.
read it slower this time.

I can't help that she looks a little like Saban though. :)

What a lame arse attempt at an insult bud.

so O doing the same thing is rolling while miles was driving into the ground?
just admit your bias and are perfectly fine watching O have the same type of seasons you bashed miles for.
look I cant say this any clearer....
Miles had an elite tenure here....
as many top 5 finishes as Mac,Saban, and Dietzel combined.
During his tenure no program beat more ranked teams(final rankings).
no program had more weeks in the top 25.
He has the #1 win % in the history of the program.
he has #1 ooc win % in sec history(50 games)
he had the 1st undefeated sec title in 50 years
he did this during the most dominant era of sec football ever
he stopped winning at rate I thought was acceptable. he should've been fired after 2015. a better x and O coach WOULD HAVE had more success with the talent Miles had. I've never called miles a great coach but I know a horrible coach doesnt do what he did at OSU and LSU.
I'm happy with the way O has the team going this year.
AGAIN.... IT WAS TIME FOR MILES TO GO. that in no way means I'm gonna act like he didnt have a very accomplished tenure at lsu.
