Owning up to what?

He kept saying it was his responsibility and then turned around through some of his guys under the bus.

"why didn't you have the fg team ready to
go in the 27 seconds after the tolliver catch while the refs spotted the ball?"

"I don't think... Well let me just say if we had 30 seconds to snap that last play I would be very surprised."

so then you have to assume that if he looked, and was shown with certainty that there was in fact that much time after the catch before the snap, that he would have no recourse but to say "wow we f'd that up..."

incompetent

he owned up to it, don't know what else you want. he can't go back and change it. he said he'll have full control of plays being called under that scenario again.

Nothing...

That doesn't mean he gets reprieve.

Specifically though, he admitted to botching the time out call... He then said it would take 12 seconds to get his quick fg play called and lined up and they would not have had time.

When the reporter pointed out that they did in fact have 27 seconds to do so, he said "I would be surprised."

so I'm just saying admit to that f
up too...

As has been evidenced for years, his biggest problem is communication from the box and agreement on what to do and timing of getting offensive calls in. If he can't communicate with the offensive staff in a organized effective manner, which is over half of what the issue is with the offense, then who cares what he thinks about the "back end of the game". I really do wonder what the hell they do at practice as the team is never prepared to play from the opening kick. If OM had a little better fortune they would have been up 14-0 early and none of this other crap would have occurred to begin with and LSU would have been soundly defeated.
