Well, now that Jefferson has been given the easy games of the season, which these games are, basically to iron out the kinks and get timing down, we'll just throw Lee out there to the wolves. Jefferson has gotten the snaps in practice too. Miles has put all his chips in the Jefferson basket and, quite frankly, JJ hasn't progressed. He still looks the same as when he first stepped on the field. He looks lost most of the times, stares down the rcvr he's passing to. He makes a great play one moment, then, the most boneheaded play the next. He hardly ever puts the ball on the numbers, putting the rvcr in a very dangerous position most of the time. It's my opinion JJ is never going to progress past where he is now.
It does make me wonder what Lee would actually have looked like, having received all the extra attention a starter receives.

BTW. I haven't checked, who is the QB coach? If he's anything like what the other coaches appear to be, this could be where the fault lies. I base my opinion of the other coaches from the lack of discipline shown from all the EXCESSIVE penalties we've rcvd over the past few years. Discipline points directly to coaching (or lack of).

JJ looked the same way in the spring game. I know, it was a spring game. But there was no pressure or tackling the QB and he stunk it up. Lee looked polished. Lee was treated very unfairly last night. Billy Gonzales is suppose to be the passing coordinator. What exactly is his role in this fiasco. Practice Lee as the starter this week and put him in. This horse and pony show has gotten very ugly.

Also I would not be surprised to see Ford transfer.

That was different, JJ was a true freshman who had 3 months of practice. Now, they're basically on equal footing.

And I think they were also trying to preserve a redshirt year for JJ. Very different situations.
