this shite is getting old. keep les. les must go. coach x is a homerun. coach x sux. we'll never get coach x. i'd like to see coach y here. coach y hasnt enough experience. remember when everyone hated coach x. keep les and let him hire new coordinators- the same shite weve been doing for 10 years. were not gonna get that stud 15 year old if les leaves/we're doomed ! doomed, i tells ya !

The OC and DC are Les Miles picks. He chose poorly.
I believe that the administration also gets a vote, since they have to pay them. So not a one man vote. Another poster wrong!

Former diehard Positiger here (until two weeks ago): While I agree that Les is a good guy, it's time for a change. Here, you said so yourself:
It's the head coach's job to make sure that doesn't happen. You make it sound like he's a victim of his assistant coaches. He's their boss. He calls the shots. And, it appears that he made a very bad DC hire.
I like the man, but it'll be good for everybody (including Les) to get a fresh start.

Running the same HB dive play over and over again is insane. Every elementary school football player knows what we are going to run next, let alone elite SEC teams.

What will you say if we lose this week and the bowl game and end with back to back 5 loss seasons?

Our OC is getting laid $1.5m. The next closest is 900k.

Oh, so the adminstration should be at fault for Les still not being able to manage the clock or when to use/save time outs. The head coach has nothing to do with either I guess.

So now our future rests on one "stud" coming to LSU. It's a tam sport son. Takes more than one guy, look at Fournette. The BEST running back in FBS, being dragged down by Coach Cameron and stupid offsides penalties. One guy will not save us. Getting rid of OC should be more beneficial.

Choosing bad assistants is not a matter of bad fortune. If Les's assistants have failed him it's Les who's entirely to blame for lack of smarts.
All the evidence you need before a potential hire for effectiveness and worth is there for you to assess, by way of film, record, statistics, and comparisons. If you didn't recognize that such and such philosophy and personality wouldn't work with your own or with the types of players you have and plan to assemble that's entirely on you.

I have a feeling that LSU will make a huge mistake in letting Miles go this year. And if LSU gets the wrong guy, the program could join the average group for infinity.
The way LSU handled this after the way Miles represented this program is shameful. But, I wouldn't expect anything less from an AD who completely made a fool of himself with the Duke lacrosse debacle.

I say clean house in the staff room and keep the class act Les Miles.
This is getting beyond ridiculous. Why are so many people on this board so delusional? New coordinators? Why don't we hire Urban Meyer to run the offense and Nick Saban to run the defense? Guess what? IT WON'T FREAKING MATTER! Miles isn't going to change!

fail to develop the talent, fail to discipline, and continue to have a team that underperforms and just wastes more NFL talent
His record on discipline is there, look at the players that got thrown off, benched, developing talent, look at the NFL starters as first year guys, waste NFL talent? Dude you are really out there.

I will say what all reasonable fans say, Shet we should have won that game. Why did we repeatedly run the dive play until 3rd down then pass from 3rd and 15. Les Miles does not call the fricking plays guys. He doesn't even have a play list that he carries. He asks the assistants to carry their water, but they don't seem to be able to.
